Nobody has explained what he was doing 4 years at Aranmore and what the deal is with the age discrepancy between him and his brother that 'magically' turned from a difference of 4 years to 1 year.

Just very random without an update. I think Thon Maker is out of the league based on skills not being there to overcome his slight frame. Even if he were 23 when he entered the league, he failed way before he would have aged out.

The thing about his age is that presumably from 19-23 or whatever you're adding more to your frame/increasing your skills as you develop from a teenager to a young man, during your otherwise college years. This guy was a college aged guy dominating high school as a 20 something year old "high schooler". It was an effective scam and even though it was presumably discovered by most nba teams and realgm at around the time he was drafted, the bucks were fooled, or even more bizarrely didn't care about his age, somehow? They must have been duped.

I always thought it was funny there were those on the bucks board sold on his skills and didn't care about his age, as that made him more "nba ready". Unfortunately he was not.

An user and-1'd a post of mine (in another thread), so I checked his profile to see what were his most and-1'd posts, and here I came.

Regardless, there were a couple of recent threads here about if people considered Ben Simmons and James Wiseman busts, and I think either they are not, or they didn't have enough time to be labeled as one.

In Thon's case, though, he played 4 full seasons in the league, never improving, never seizing the opportunity to get more playing time and post best stats and such.

The fact that he probably came to the league as a 23 year old (or whatever number people want to put) is, from my point of view, a direct correlaction to the fact that he couldn't be able to improve over time.

Yi and Maker were Hammond/Kohl as far as I remember. I think Hammond gets credit for Giannis but it was actually Larry Drew who loved him and pushed the Bucks to draft him after he got hired from ATL.

By the way, if he lied, he would have been in his prime the last two years (while in China/Israel instead), so I''m not sure how being out of the league proves anything beyond he wasn't good enough.
