Could just be coincidence. But what if Hornets was tanking for Wembayama to be drafted by MJ and eventually sign with Jordan brand?

The NBA paid 137k $ for all the league games of Wembanyama, 8 games of the "french play-offs" and the french all-stars game. What a pathetic amount...

And the Mets arent getting anything out of it. That's why they are sending a request to the league as per that article, because that deal is all about them (well it's all about Wembanyama but he's on their team). Also they're not happy about the amount, they feel like the league didnt even negotiate.

Americans clutching their pearls when french league didn't ask obnoxious amount of money to let fans world wide to see his games. Capitalism is dead!

Victor was only the 3rd player under 19 years old to score 30 points in pro-A. The other 2 had done it only once, Victor just did it 3 times in a row, ongoing series...

They will play Monaco in two weeks, i doubt he will have an easy game. Knowing he has to play center a lot now because of other guys injuries (obviously losing Fall Faye is a major loss)

If his team can sign a good (dirty job, screening, defense and occassionnaly pnr offense) center, it will help victor to keep his energy to score otherwise he might get tired pretty fast.

But right now i would not bet he can keep this pace except against Fos (considering their frontcourt & defense).

I don't see the reason why the NBA got his streaming rights. He's not all that watchable despite being a generational prospect. Being 7"4" means he's not that relatable at all.

:banghead: We truly live in a backwards world where up is down left is right and movies play like Momento backwards, and the only real winner in the NBA will be the ones who lose the most and have a chance at the greatest prize the NBA draft has ever offered. :banghead:

Is Wemby worth all this suffering!? Absolutely, he will be the most incredible combination of KD and Wilt, Lebron and Kareem, or perhaps if we're not so lucky Michael Olowokandi and LaRue Martin.

Without further crying, here is the list. Thanks for ESPN for now posting the league standings in reverse order by default for us. They get it.

Image

We can now see things starting to fall in place. LA is finally moving out the list and the Thunder are moving down. Probably the Jazz will eventually join them to create an hopelessly stinky eight. Remember for this contest, we really only need to look at the WIN column and it's really very close there. Magic, Rockets and Pistons are in a deadlock for first. Was there ever any doubt they would be here?

Watch for these three teams to start having more and more injured players and start to trade any decent vets that might have value. Bojan will be gone from Detroit no doubt along with Burks probably. Magic I expect will trade off Bol Bol since they should be able to get some valuable picks for him. "Sell high!" says trader Danny. Maybe Bamba too. A twofur! Rockets well they got nothing, the perfect team for this competition! It's like they were built for this race!

One quarter of the season is done but it feels like an eternity god help us.

I saw an interview from him saying he wants to be as strong as Giannis.

Even if you don't like him you draft him anyway and then trade him to someone for Scoot, half their roster, their house and all their money. But then your fans would probably kill you anyway.
