In terms of taking what the game gives him and still dominating, I'm not sure I've ever seen better. I wish I could remember what it was, but Malone had a great phrase for it during another game recently.

He used to be reluctant to shoot so he’s come a long way. Still, for someone who scores easier than anyone in the NBA he’s sometimes too unselfish. I still think he can find a better balance.

I can't knock Russ after that game.

But I am enjoying the 5-game skid.

My favorite part is seeing Westbrook’s karma after all that trash talk. No one deserved it more lol but In all seriousness, he’s an awesome competitor. Fox just happened to be the best player on the floor by far.

Lol this isn't even remotely the same team from the past two seasons.

"16 different players played rotation minutes for the Nuggets in the playoffs the last two seasons (post-2020 WCF playoff run)...

Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., Monte Morris, Austin Rivers, Will Barton, Bones Hyland, JaMychal Green, Jeff Green, JaVale McGee, DeMarcus Cousins, Bryn Forbes, Facu Campazzo, Paul Millsap, Markus Howard, Shaq Harrison

- Only 4 have been consistent every night NBA rotation players this season (Jokic, Gordon, Porter, Morris)

- 6 are currently out of the NBA (Cousins, Forbes, Facu, Millsap, Howard, Harrison)

Everyone in Denver agrees the Nuggets have a ton of pressure to get it done this season. Jokic has a ton of pressure to deliver with a full supporting cast. But this is what he's played with in the playoffs the last two years, and he somehow still beat the Blazers in the 1st round in 2021."

To me, what he's doing this season is pretty much right there. I have a hard time nitpicking 25 ppg on 70 TS% and another 25 ppg created via assist (3rd in the NBA).

My dude, Denver's defence has been top 5 since December and their 4th quarter defense has been great all season long

It'a not even a back handed compliment to say that their defense has been good "for once" - it's simply false

Even if u wanna look at the entire season thaey have abiyt a top 10 defense

Same goes for posters clamoring about Jokic gonna be targeted etc

Good luck with that, as thet say

Lonnie and Schro horrible down the stretch on offense.

Ya and if we are being honest, if your offensive possession ends with a wide open MPJ jumper, open Murray jumper, open KCP jumper, Gordon open slashing to the bucket. That should be viewed as a great offensive possession.

Absolutely. I almost said something when you posted that nobody can hit anything and he should just start taking over. Which is obviously an option. But I'm putting the ball in his hands, letting him create and living with whatever the results are. It's just too bad that he doesn't really have a true No. 2 guy, instead of a handful of 3s. A legit All-NBA type wingman and they'd be almost unbeatable.

Yup and if they flame out in the playoffs this year, I won’t be shocked if they try and make that move.

Because the thing is, if a defense sells out on stopping Jokic and will live with giving good looks to everyone else. If those shots aren’t falling, they need a true #2 that can create his own consistently. Also when they stagger the lineup, have that #2 lead that 2nd unit.

The thing is Murray played to that level in the bubble. And on a less talented team than this one they went to the WCF. But the thing is the difference between a legit #2 and what Murray has been is the consistency. And I’m not personally sold that Murray will ever be that guy consistently. We will see though.

We got lucky Westbrook let that ball slip right through his hands at the end there but the refs missed a clear 8 second call on that possession in the first place.

Lakers' defense is ass, especially considering this is a big game for them.
