Has put some of the blame on coach Collet, but hey, a win is a win.

Like I said yesterday. This tournament is great because you absolutely cannot mess around. All of these teams are bringing it. You goy people fighting for their whole careers in these games, people in countries who don't give a damn about basketball giving it their all because they have dedicated their bodies to pursuing a sport that many think is irrelevant. That kind of motivation, next level. These "bad" teams are not out here to give you easy wins. Teams got to bring it every game and its amazing to watch, anyone can get got.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Respect to Japan man, they left it all out there on the court.

France look flawed as hell.

A Japan win would really have messed up the QF seedings— but the refs did not want to see those wild pairings. LOL

Bet France here but Japan showed heart and effort is sometimes more important. Again, mad respect to the Japanese players.

Awful way to give away the game. Easy way to pull the refs out of the equation is to let that circus 3 fly. Flatfooted and arms behind your back but I could see that situationally be difficult in the thick of clutchtime.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
I dont know if it's possible to make it in the NBA at that size but I'd be curious to see someone give him a real chance. It can work in Europe, but I know the Japanese league is paying pretty well nowadays so it might not be worth it fro him unless he gets a great offer.

The foul on the three point shot to send it to OT was egregious.

Well ... I did not like how France played today, I am even pretty ashamed for them.
But when you play basketball, if you put your hand on the hip of the guy who makes a jump shot, you automatically get into his cylinder, and any little contact may be called.

We always knew FIBA refs lacked quality. They cant even use the high ranked Euro ones, and theres only limited number of refs who are very high regarded, most locked by EL.

Demagoog wrote:Terrific game, but man... Wembanyama will feel like he is heaven getting to play with an actual point guard in CP3.

Would have been a sight to see him playing with even just a couple of years younger version under Pop. Old version still has the passing and game management, but it's not the same thing.

Should still be cool though.
