The way I see it is that Nico Harrison went to West Point/saw the ARMY life style and felt that Luka doesn't put in the work to be great compared to other players.

...and AD. This trade is wacky in so many ways, but everyone is acting like Dallas didn't get a top-10 player back who fits a lot better with Kyrie.

Dallas wanted to trade Luka...for whatever reasons...and they wanted a win-now trade instead of a bunch of 1sts. I don't know how much better they could have done given that. It's just weird that they wanted that.
