What's your problem with Jokic?
Do you feel he isn't criticized enough while LeBron has been unfairly criticized?
Because if you think their circumstances are even remotely similar then that's just plain funny

I don't have a problem with him at all. I've been watching the NBA for a long time and I have never seen a player get the benefit of the doubt in every aspect. I am simply using small examples that other players have dealt with (not just LeBron) to see how people react. And so far it has been great

Absolutely terrible to do this right now concerning Malone.

Malone recently won you a title and you're #4 with a plethora of injuries.

Most other coaches would've made Jokic a role player, but Malone was the first coach to completely hand the reigns over to a slow big white European.

Has to be personal.

Doesn't speak well of your counting abilities, but point well taken.

I actually like the move by Josh Kroenke. If Frank Vogel, Mike Budenholzer can be fired after winning titles, so can Malone. Booth, was done after his stupid interview with Kevin O'Connor. Talked too much. Too arrogant.

Don't be surprised if Denver reaches out to Todd Golden to be their coach, who just won an NCAA title with Florida. He's big into analytics (which won him last night's game by the way) and he's probably going to be the next college coach to make the jump to the NBA at some point.

Murray has 4 more years on his deal. MPJ has 2 more years on his deal. They really lack draft capital.

I get it, Nico Harris proved that there is always at least 1 idiot GM that is willing to make a deal that tanks his team and his career. But man is there really a team willing to go out and give assets for Jamal Murray? I feel like the only answer for MPJ is just to swallow that contract for one more year and hopefully offload him next year on an expiring deal. But again that is a year from now.

What's the fix? You dont make this kind of move without thinking there is another big move to make (obviously in the offseason). This is the kind of move signaling a big time shake up and overhaul. Denver is right back to the exact same point next year, no matter who the coach is.

I still cant get over how bad the cap situation and draft capital situation is. I feel like the only logical next move is Jokic asking out. Because he cant go to the front office and demand them to make a big move, they dont have any assets to do anything like that.

They should trade MPJ for 2-3 players to round out the team. They're too top heavy. What they should have done was traded him to Atlanta for something like Hunter and Bogdan. That gets you Murray, Hunter, Bogdan, Gordon, Jokic, Braun and Westbrook as your top 7.

Why do Hawks do that deal? I agree with trading MPJ for a collection of help, and even like that as a hypothetical, but realistically Nuggets have no picks or youngish talent that Atl got for both. So yeah... Booth **** them with these contracts.

Ya thats the issue. MPJ at 25% of the cap isnt a bad contract if he was valuable. Thats the issue though, MPJ at 25% of your cap isnt a + asset.

So ya I agree with the thought process of trading MPJ for 2 solid players. The problem is, what GM is bad enough to give up 2 solid assets for MPJ and his contract?

Malone didnt win ****. And he also made Jokic a role player. It took 2 seasons and an analytics nerd for the team to realize that Jokic was better than anyone on the roster.

Although, you know if I'm a Denver fan, I wouldn't be worried. Nuggets owners knows how to find talent. They had Masai before Conneley. Who found Jokic. Booth has been underwhelming. I'm sure they have some assistant GM on their radar whom they'll promote and get on contract cheap like before.

Connelly left for more money and control of the basketball operations. Masai left for the same reasons. They did make a more than fair offer to Tim, but Wolves made him a better offer. And as much as I like Tim Connelly and think he's a very good exec, he doesn't deserve credit for Denver winning the chip after he's gone. He didn't draft Braun nor trade for KCP.

He needs to have Minnesota make the Finals (under his watch) to receive those accolades.

No sense in talking sense. They will defend Joker until judgement day. We know better. And we also know who really was responsible for these firings.

Connelly's Denver tenure is super overrated (rosters weren't particularly great, look at what he left the organization with in 2022). Doesn't excuse Booth though

You couldn't wait until after the playoffs? Doing this with 4 games left in the season? Mickey mouse move.

He left them with a roster that was more than capable of winning a title in 2023, and they did.
