Kudos to the Lakers and Klutch. They managed to trade a bunch of dudes and meh picks for a top 10 player in his prime.

Awful by Pels. Couldn’t even get one star or future star for AD. Couldn’t even dump Solomon Hill.

End of one behemoth and the birth of a new one. All within two weeks. Gotta love this league.

Honestly I do not get why everyone thinks the Lakers own the league. Lebron is another year older and AD is a great player. However, outside of that the Lakers don't have any anything. If Kuzma was Klay or Dray level then sure you may have something. However he is a role player.

You still have the Rockets, Blazers and Nuggets and Jazz in the conference. Hell, if the Raps keep Leonard then they are the best team still.

People are completely incapable of looking at rosters past the top 2-3 guys.

I agree. Top talent is great. However, you need supporting players as well to play when they are out or worse case get injured. We know first hand that can happen. Look at the warriors they just two of their best 3 players in 72 hours along with their title chances next year. I cannot say I know a lot of AD personally but doesnt he have some injury issues in the past?

Meh the lakers will be paper thin. Any injury to lbj or AD and they're toast

I like this deal a lot more for the Pelicans if they flip Lonzo for something and draft Garland.

Keeping Kuzma is pretty big. Great fit in a frontcourt consisting of AD and LeBron.

4th pick in this draft will be a future star... Especially while playing with Zion.

To think that ainge probably would have pulled the trigger if kyrie just said hed resign if AD was there.

Who were we fooling when the Lakers with 34 year old Kobe traded for 27 year old top 5 player Dwight Howard who had just bullied his way out of Orlando. To think this is a lock to the finals is foolish. We have 34 year old LeBron getting 26 year old AD who has had WAY less success as a superstar than Howard had in Orlando.
34 year old Kobe isnt 34 year old lebron. Dont disrespect lebron like that

And 26 year old AD isn't 27 year old Howard. Dwight carried his team to the finals. AD has won one playoff series in 7 years. Howard is a joke now but at the time he was an absolute force.

Time will tell. Lakers won for now (assuming AD signs). The team who gets the best player usually wins. It comes down to this 4 pick, and there's no clear potential stars at 4 IMO

Lakers traded a young supporting cast for a player they could have got as a free agent. There is absolutely no way this is anything other than an l for la.

Pelicans just became contenders. Lakers just became overrated

The Pelicans are loaded with talent now along with a bunch of picks. Maybe they should just keep the 4th pick now??

Same for every top team...

E.g. Injury to KD, Curry, Kawhi, Harden, Gianni's, etc. And those teams are toast.

Wonder what the Pelicans will bring in when they trade Zion in 6 years.

35y old Lebron and Glass man A. Davis. Dont know, i would choose the Mavs with Luka and KP and 2021 cap space for a 4th star (something the Lakers wont have if they sign Kemba).

And Kembas knows that GM Lebron would trade his ass again if he could get an upgrade or a buddy

Lakers will be eliminating the Mav's from playoff contention and the first round for years to come.

You may check Lebrons date of birth and Davis injury history before talking about "years to come"

Kuzma is a overrated. I can understand why the Lakers like having a cheap productive player under contract but I might almost prefer the extra FRP that New Orleans got instead.

You were getting this picks in Feb anyways plus zubac and kuzma...pels got less now

I think that is where you are wrong. They got less from the Lakers now but they have Zion on their roster which wouldnt of happend if they made that trade. They actually got more now. A lot more.

Pelicans had to do the trade now to do some background on draft prospects. They couldn’t hold out for Kuz.
