Natural selection.

If it's really hot out on the beach with that intense florida sun, wouldn't that likely kill this virus or at least inactivate it?

MERS is a coronavirus that is rampant in Saudi Arabia. It replicates in the lungs and not the nose like RHINOviruses.

Did you read the link? The recommendation has nothing to do with letting the fever run its course, and everything to do with ibuprofen potentially making the infection worse. You can still take paracetamol for the fever.
Paracetamol is acetaminophen i think

He said take it constantly. But he wasn't saying it related to aggravating the COVID. From what I'm reading you probably flat out don't wanna take it. Different context.

Edit:. NVM I'm an idiot who woke up groggy and should of taken 5 minutes to wake up lol. I read without looking at link.

Well, I think this leaves a lot of issues, but most people working for larger companies can work just fine from home so this won't really interrupt their pay checks.
Not necessarily. The list would include companies like McDonald's, Walmart, Marriott, etc. Those people can't be at home and work the same, they also may only have part time work. The managerial class and office workers yes but not the regular workers. And if they get sick and have symptoms they can't be working, and some of these companies have just a couple of days sick leave if even that.

Fully aware and that's why I said this does leave some issues. I think the intent and reason was driven more by the expectation that there is remote work and that a lot of these companies will do the right thing for employees (given the backlash if they don't, I feel public shaming over this will be pretty strong and we CERTAINLY know those mega corps have the funds to eat this).

Maybe he was thinking of Naproxen.

No. Its a misconception. And even if its true if you are around people who may have it's rather easy to spread to you thru contact, touching something, air, etc.

I did. I was just injecting my personal thoughts that fevers can help the body recover.

I get that, but it seems like it would be really hard to spread out there at least.

Yeah out there if everyone is staying away from each other it's probably the best case scenario for a mass grouping of people. Problem comes when we start thinking what they do at night.

We're trying to keep the number of positive test down. We can just not test and treat people for pneumonia

Sent from my SM-G950U using RealGM mobile app

I know that was the early intent, but it is just going to make the panic all that much worse when the testing REALLY rolls out. Hopefully most already realize that there are significantly more people infected than what the numbers show due to lack of testing.

Man I've really got to handle this better as far as constantly watching news on this. I had a migraine/cluster headache last night and it was the absolute worst I have ever had. The pain and nausea were excruciating and I know it was brought on by anxiety and stress.

People that hoard up on groceries are really selfish imo, they're only thinking of themselves. I haven't been able to buy all my groceries at once. I've had to go to 3 different stores over the past week to buy everything I need. I'm just buying my normal stuff, like soap, water, milk etc. Things that I'd be buying anyway, virus or not. People need to get a grip.

Me too.

But it really isn't something to be totally stressed about. Here's why:

America has a population of 327 million. That means for it to even reach 1% of the population, it would have to spread to 32.7 million people. So far in Wuhan the total cases are under 100 thousand. I feel like even if it were to hit 32.7 million people across the US they would have a vaccine by then. And lets say 5% are fatal, that would be a total of 1.6 million deaths. Which is A LOT. Crazy a lot.

But is only 0.004% of the total population.

And that would be the worst case in my opinion because I don't see it reaching 32.7 million people, that's a ridiculously high number. And even if it were to approach numbers that high, I think vaccines will be created by then because it will take a long time to get there.
