Carson Edwards, Josh Selby, and Adam Morrison dominated Summer League. Even Kyle Anderson averaged over 20ppg in Summer League. Meanwhile Karl-Anthony Towns averaged 12ppg on 39% shooting in Summer League and didn't make a 3 pointer. Just goes to show how meaningless Summer League is.

Morrow also dropped 42 in a real NBA game, so maybe we should be putting all the stock into summer league

Considering he was never more than a marginal role player I'm gonna go ahead and say nah, we shouldnt

Morrow was really fun though. He would catch passes above his chest up keep the ball up there for a wrist flick 3

I once watched Morrow and Steph Curry shoot 3’s warming up before a game (the 3rd guy with them was Jeremy Lin, of all people).

Just effortless shooting.

I don't see any future MVPs but a bunch of solid all stars in the bunch. I actually have Jabari and Jaden Ivey as 1a and 1b with Chet and Paolo as 2a and 2b, but I have Ivey winning ROY because guards generally win ROY.

To be fair he also had 8 turn overs...As much as the rest of the team combined.
It just sounds like Paolo was having fun in the moment. He had high praise for Murray after the game.

Wasn't a big fan of banchero initially but the kid is winning me over. The magic made the right selection with him at #1. They got nice core of young talent in the same timeline to develop chemistry.

summer league is way different to the NBA. In the summer league, ball dominant guards control the game. It’s not like that in the league.

So I’m not surprised Ivey has done so well (he’s going to be great!) and I’m also not surprised that Jabari Smith hasn’t looked so great but you can tell he’s got game.

Paolo is going to be a star for sure. Keegan Murray is also an excellent player

Paolo can hoop there is no question about that. If you watch the game you can clearly see he just has it. This is what separates the top guys from average players. Some guys just have the it factor.

His field goal percentage should not be taken into consideration aside from a couple of bad contested mid rangers in game 2 he has been good offensively( his last 2, shoots in game 1, came at the very end of the game when the magic where up 10 plus and that's what out him at ,5-12).

His vision/handle for a 6-10 240 pound dude is legit. His playmaking ability is what's gonan make him an all star. It's something that Jabari nor chet come even close too. Let alone the offensive package he has.

Defensively he tries, he gets lost sometimes on help and loses his man. But as a whole his defense has been better then advertised.

I think he will be pretty good( not sure how good) but he has the tools to be multi time all star for sure.

He is a big wing, he creates from perimeter. His shot wasnt falling, i think he was showing off with his midrange a little. 8 turnovers didnt look so bad. Once ball sliped from his hands, one was questionable offensive foul, one was on the inbound becouse his teammates couldnt get open, rest were ambitious passes to teammates on the move. Even Luka had two 9 turnovers games his rookie year and they didnt even went to overtime. It happens when you are creative ball handler, especially with new teammates with limited practice time.
Both our teams are lucky, Holmgren and Banchero showed already why they went 1-2. I must say i really like what i saw from Murray, seems like a great kid. His composure was amazing.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

They need to drop kick the busted guards like Fultz and Suggs and make Banchero the point guard. He needs to be put into the Lebron position controlling things immediately. He will make better decisions with the ball than any of those players in his first game. Then build the team to his needs. Everyone who doesn’t fit perf3ctly can be traded for those who do. He’s the real deal.

Banchero
Chet
Murray
Ivey

All looking amazing and as advertised.

Jabari is a little disappointing only because his number one elite skill is supposed to be shooting and he hasn’t been shooting well at all. Of course, as others have said, it would be nice if he had a point guard like Giddy to set him up. If Houston doesn’t have one, then they maybe should pick up Rubio or something. I really like the rook Atari on their team too.

I haven’t seen him but in highlights Mathurin has looked pretty good. Of course Sharpe is the first draft pick bust, out for summer league, probably will be announced out for season soon.

Disagree, Ivey put up 31/8/6 in 37 mins of action total (Paola played 34 mins in just tonight's game) and looked primed to have a huge game before he got injured.
His name is Paolo. Paola is a female's name.

If it wasn't obvious I don't think the number #1 pick is paola, it was a typo

Banchero does look great, but...just think about the Doncic\Trae debate
If Chet turns out to be really special, it's great for the Magic that they drafted an Allstar but that would still have been the wrong choice :)

What they can really feel good about is that Jabari isn't looking too hot so far, might have really dodged a bullet there considering he was ranked above Banchero in just about every mock there is up to the day b4

If undrafted Lofton Jr can shove Holmgren around like he did, NBA forwards and Cs are going to have little problem scoring on him next year.

I dont think we ever seriously considered Jabari. Same with OKC. Presti would trade his own mother for a first round pick and he was not interested in trading down with Houston.
I would be more worried if we traded down with OKC and they drafted Banchero. I am quite certain Banchero will be the best player in the draft.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !
