odd situation. on one hand, it's difficult to rationalize the spurs of all organizations being made aware of this in January 2022, and not taking action on it. on the other hand, primo's lawyer seemingly admitting in his statement that some exposure happened (albeit, beneath a thin veneer of victim blaming) lends some credence to the victim's claims and timeline imo.

it will be interesting to see where this goes, and what the fallout ends up being.

Im guessing Primo kept having "accidents" until it become clear it wasn't an accident to everybody involved. I'm pretty forgiving but this statement from his lawyer is ridiculous especially contrasted against his original statement blaming prior sexual abuse & saying he needed mental help. I think in a locker room environment you might see things so maybe that's why it wasn't taken seriously by the Spurs or maybe even this doctor at first but dude isn't slipping out of his shorts unaware in 9 different sessions, there's a big difference between incidental nudity in a locker room and something sexual.

It's the woman's responsibility to tell the man his dick is repeatedly hanging out in front of her.

Agreed.

But also think his lawyers are getting ready to put this on the spurs that they were the ones that failed to properly notify him at the time.

Two things can be true at once. Primo could be a legit flasher and did things like Minny and apparently Vegas to warrant his release AND the accuser could be telling an inaccurate account of her interaction with Primo.

There was a tweet that I posted that the Spurs just told her to keep seeing her even though she told them what happened.

In a corporate environment (where this occured) no. I can guarantee if a female colleague accused me of repeatedly flashing her to management, unless I had unequivocal proof I didn't do it I'd be fired for sure.

He probably won't face any criminal charges but banishment from the league likely.

Banishment from the league?

Nah. The league has turned a blind eye to far worse.

Kobe was investigated for rape and settled out of court then welcomed back.

How many times was Matt Barnes done for domestic violence?

Won't even get into Calvin Murphy.

I'm not saying these guys were guilty, but just pointing out that the NBA is not a bastien of moral high ground.

It's a fine defense for a criminal trial, if it ever gets there. "My dck is big, i didnt notice it was visible and she never mentioned it....honest mistake". It's not fine for what he needs, which is for the public to believe him, cause thats not a very believable story.

His main defense is gonna be "I didnt know, and while the accuser was notifying people above me, nobody once told me my junk was visible"...as if it's spinach in his teeth, lmao

Some of us hang low, and aren't always aware of what's going on down there. :D

At no point did I hear Buzbee say it was more than once, let alone 9 times. Maybe I missed something?

Now it's 9 times? 9 times defies logic...

In any case, it looks pretty awful for the Spurs. It just looks ridiculous how they swept this under the rug, picked up Primo's option and let the psychologist go.

To clear this up, the presser said multiple meetings and that eventually she found a way to avoid them. Initially she was directed to keep meeting with him.

She's not testifying for the jury at a press conference. You are not going to get the full exposee.

Really sick stuff :noway: . Between what happened with the Texans and now this, it really seems like way too many organizations are enabling this sort of behavior. I think the Spurs need to clean house. I firmly believe what Cauthen is alleging given what Primo said in the presser, but I will still wait to see how this plays out in court. Still, seems very bad.

The Texans didn't enable it; I don't think they had an idea of what was going on. He got an NDA no questions asked from them and used their hotels because a team is going to do that for their star QB, but as soon as they found out about this, he didn't play for them again and they traded him to several desperate teams. I think this is more like the Mavs situation where Mark knew what was going on but ignored it

My understanding was an NDA for a massage therapy session is not standard operating procedure, but I could be wrong. 66 women over a 17 month period and nothing fishy was going on? I don't believe that. That definitely isn't a normal number of massage therapists.

Oh yea, I am not defending Watson at all. Screw that guy; he signed an extension and then demanded a trade a year later and then this stuff so we all hate him here. He wanted an NDA because of the instagram ladies he went to wanted to expose him for doing what he did so he got the NDA for his future therapists

Guessing Brian Wright is one that's out the league. Primo will be back.

She works for the Spurs and she already told them long before what happened but they ignored it. The Spurs would have covered it up and act like nothing happened if he only did it a few times and stopped but he had to do it 9 times and then expose himself to multiple other people. :noway:

Read on Twitter

Lawyer said he expects Primo to be prosecuted. We'll see.

Difference is those guys were all long established in the league, Kobe was arguably the face of the NBA at the time he was accused.

Primo is practically a rookie. There may not be an official ban but he'll probably end up blackballed by the other teams (sigh no pun intended)

If her attorneys statement even resembles the truth, the Spurs need to do the right thing and fire Brian Wright today.
And the head of HR also needs to be looked at.
If they let this go on for months that is completely unacceptable.

This is worse from the team perspective. The team knew about it and enabled it and even basically fired the psychologist.
