WILTbanyama sounds fitting, because the video quality looks like straight from the 60s.

The hype train is back on track. Nothing too insane from that highlight package. That said, he is looking quite good on the defensive end. His shooting efficiency is unremarkable though and should improve as the game slows down for him.

Do we really need a special Wemby thread everytime he dose something? A sticky is annoying enough.

This highlight video is better than the ESPN one. Includes some extra plays.

How can he be an all-star or rookie or the year when he's not even the best rookie this season? Chet's Thunder will finish with 15 more wins than these Spurs

Surely you mean he's the best rookie for the first two weeks of the season.

Sam Presti and every Thunder fan would trade Chet for Wemby every single day of the week and twice and on Sundays

He's the best rookie, let's be real here. I like Chet a lot but you guys are starting to sound ridiculous, like he's not playing with an all-nba first teamer or much better talent all around.

i mean, give chet the rookie of the year, i don't care.

michael carter williams and andrew wiggins have ROY awards, its completely meaningless.
These are the opinions of one lifelong Spurs fan, nothing more

What's I'm super impressed with Wemby is his "veteran" shotblocking - he tries to save the ball for his team as well, not only throw the ball into the stands while flexing, like most rookies almost do.

Pretty crazy his 2pt FG% isn't better. Seems like it should easily be in the 60s, but must be a lot of jump shots.

More than a quarter of his total FGAs are from 10+ feet, right? So yeah, he's taking tons of jumpers, even if you filter out the 3s.

The lack of a real PG hurts him a lot. Pop and the Spurs aren’t doing him any favors so far.

Like I pointed out in the Shaq/VW thread, Shaq had prime Scott Skiles as a rookie. What would VW’s number look like if he had that?

I hate the way they are using him and running the offense. Getting someone this talented and misusing them is criminal. Wtf is Pop thinking? They should be spamming pick and rolls with him and using him for cuts as well. They're asking him to play like KD instead which is obviously just really inefficient offense. Coupled with the fact that they're playing a power forward at point guard, it's just ugly.

There definitely needs to be a balance between his personal development and playng winning basketball. You have to attempt to win to develop winning habits. You can't just have Wemby out there doing whatever he wants. They have to find that healthy balance where they can reign in some of the experimental stuff.

Apparently you haven't seen his games much. His 2pt % is pretty great because it is mostly iso jumpers over people like he has take KD, Kawhi midrange shots. Sure he like those shots but also easier than waiting for....
They can't throw ball into the post or give him easy lobs, easy positions. He is playing too much like a wing, not only by choice or to learn.
