This is the power of the Maple I have been envisioning for nearly a decade. I thought it would happen sooner but it is here now. I am still very salty that Wiggins wasn't allowed to participate but this Canada team is a serious threat. These guys are here to do damage, everyone should be worried.

Then again if his head is not in it, RJ now covers much of what AW brought. I know GSW reportedly held him back and I know why, but you need guys who can be relied on, and AW has had issues with that. It may be a case of addition by subtraction.

Calathes is basically American, but yeah, he is not usual American ISO point guard

So GA's FT routine here is far simpler and quicker. So it IS possible...

That his FT percentage improves? Certainly, for guys struggling with shooting, it's usually not getting rattled by a poor shooting stretch that is super important.

They can miss some shots and then start trying to tweak this or that and throw themselves off, then they shoot poorly for a while and then they get it back again lol

He was 4-4 as I was typing, now 4-6, which for him is still very good.

4-6 is around his average, I think he shot 67% last season, that's 66.7%. If he can ever become a 75% FT shooter, that would be solid.

Sure he **** up my point going 0-2 that last time up, BUT was 4-4 before that.

Anyway, even if he's shooting around his average it shows at the very least he CAN change the routine, and it doesn't have to be this whole drawn out affair every time at the line.

Greek lucky to be down just 10. Canada has to clean it up with the turnovers and useless fouls (though that’s okay too since it’s caused by their aggressiveness and it’s giving the Greek guards major trouble even setting up the play).

Feels like Canada will solve this Greek offense in the second half, and they get the easy blowout win here.

We're the 2nd favored team to win it all but the gap between us and the next 4 teams is close as hell. Gonna be a dogfight just to get out of group play.

If they can avoid the US in the semis/quarters, they have a shot. That battle for the top two places among all groups will really be crucial.
