This is the single most shocking trade I have seen in any sport. How do you not hit up the Grizz, Thunder or Cavs and ask for Jackson, Chet or Mobley + other players, how do you just zero in on 31 year old AD and some 2029 pick when Luka is only going to be 29. The Lakers future picks are worthless, if anything is going to motivate Luka to get in shape it'll be getting traded like this and playing with/working out with the 40 year old guy that's his favorite player.

I cannot believe they didn't go to other teams, who the hell trades a 25 year old superstar for that return??

Also...Luka is not a good fit with LeBron. They are redundant as heliocentric ball handlers that spend a lot of time in the paint. The lakers defense also just fell off a cliff.

You could take the worst poster on realgm, make them GM for a day, and they would not make a trade as idiotic as the one the mavs GM just made.

Why would LeBron be pissed? He gets a much better teammate who can actually take off the offensive load from his 40 year shoulders. He probably helped facilitate it.

Agreed. This is a very dark moment for the league if this passes. It basically means that the rest of the league is nothing but a talent farm for big market teams like the Lakers
