I can't understate how stupid (uninformed) and ill-timed this is.
I hope the Lakers offer him an AC spot.

What's your problem with Jokic?
Do you feel he isn't criticized enough while LeBron has been unfairly criticized?
Because if you think their circumstances are even remotely similar then that's just plain funny
I don't have a problem with him at all. I've been watching the NBA for a long time and I have never seen a player get the benefit of the doubt in every aspect. I am simply using small examples that other players have dealt with (not just LeBron) to see how people react. And so far it has been great
No sense in talking sense. They will defend Joker until judgement day. We know better. And we also know who really was responsible for these firings.
So based on a 6 second clip of Jokic erring his frustration (which, if you'll recall, you yourself have said he's got an issue with his temper - see Payne, Morris, etc - so a non-issue), he's responsible for the coach being fired 4 games before the end of the season?
Make it make sense fam.

Because he **** you over with big contracts and no picks and iffy drafting. So then how did you end up with Booth? Ah. There's the rub. Who let Connelly walk? Hmm...
Connelly's Denver tenure is super overrated (rosters weren't particularly great, look at what he left the organization with in 2022). Doesn't excuse Booth though
He left them with a roster that was more than capable of winning a title in 2023, and they did.
You could have swapped Jokic's 2023 supporting cast with 10+ other team's and they would have won a chip given how good Jokic is (and how easy their competition was). Don't give the GM much credit for beating the game on turbo-easy mode.

It's not like that at all. Creating upheaval with a team before the playoffs is basically punting the playoffs in front of the team and fanbase. You're basically saying "well, we were gonna lose anyway."
yes, exactly. youre basically conceding that this season is over for you and its time to move on to the next... which is an INSANE thing to do 3 games away from the playoffs when you're the 4 seed and have probably the best player in basketball on your team. it just doesnt make sense. even if you HATE Malone, and youre SURE hes not gonna be there next season, youd be crazy to think nuking the coaching staff right before the playoffs makes winning a title MORE likely. so youre just punting the season. its all very bizarre.
Murray is out. What chance does Denver really have?

Maybe. But that wasn't the case in 2024 or 2025.
Connelly clearly did a much better job than Booth and has done a tremendous job in Minnesota.

Stupid firing just like the lakers fired Vogel or worse the bucks when the fired bud now look at them I’m pretty sure jokic will not retire in Denver and rightly so firing the GM is the right move he did nothing to improve the roster since winning the championship nuggets are finished as contenders

Why is always the coaches and never the front office, which 9/10 is the issue.
Also playoffs are about to start.
The Nuggets weren't going anywhere this season anyway.

4th seed? Why some of you saying they are 4th seed? They are one game early on the other teams so they are a half game ahead in the win column, technically yes 4th seed I guess you can call it that, but at end of season they all have same records, mucnuggetz are in play-in.

Unironically he's close with LeBron. But we don't need another a-hole chef in the kitchen imo.

Wow! This makes no sense, great coach and good gm that recently won a championship and were having a good season fired before the start of the playoffs!? This is crazy & really fishy, something must’ve happened involving the owner, a move of this magnitude is done in the offseason.

All the coaches, except Kerr, who won a championship this decade, were fired 2 yrs later. Joe Mazzulla:

Connelly left for more money and control of the basketball operations. Masai left for the same reasons. They did make a more than fair offer to Tim, but Wolves made him a better offer. And as much as I like Tim Connelly and think he's a very good exec, he doesn't deserve credit for Denver winning the chip after he's gone. He didn't draft Braun nor trade for KCP.
He needs to have Minnesota make the Finals (under his watch) to receive those accolades.
Well why weren't these offered to keep him? Alternatively, Booth was the best choice? But who else *did* Booth draft vs. who was available? Who gave the massive Murray contract? Let good role players walk - sure they're not doing as well on other teams, but they proved their value to Nugs. I get going younger, but then handing out a huge contract to JM and not landing late picks and not stockpiling any is brutal.
This is a lotto team without Jokic. That's precarious and not sustainable for a contender.
