Oh relax, Gobert wasn't allowed to play defense for the last 20 minutes of the game when he picked up the 4th foul.

So? You don't choke a huge ass lead like that, this was a terrible game for the jazz,

If the jazz lose game 6 this series is over

How has Westbrook had a better game? Utah is definitely better than Indiana but Russ has a WAYYY better supporting cast.

lebron 44 - 10 -8 with 5 tos and +2
russ 45 - 15 - 7 with 5 tos and +10

and russ brought his team back down 20 in the 3rd, facing elimination on a team with no momentum or flow against the best defense in the league in ppg. we'll see lebron's shot for the next 45 years. but russ' heat wave is by far more impressive and important. game was tied when james hit his, admittedly, incredible shot. they both went hero. but russ went superman to lebron's batman.

Why not just praise Russ without needing to bring up Lebron?

It's not house money when you have a 25 point lead and the other team looks dead as can be. While I still do expect the Jazz most likely close it out in game 6 in Utah the Thunder now have momentum and confidence which is something they lacked before this game that could make game 6 different than the other two games in Utah.

In order for okc to win they need at least one of their stars to go nuts. George did it in game one and Westbrook did it tonight. Okc has much more star power, but the Jazz have a better team. As long as no one on okc goes superhuman again the jazz can win either of the remaining games.

Plus/minus should never be used in he context that you just used it, fyi. Russ had an amazing performance so don't think I'm hating because I've been defending him these past few days, but A) he has way better teammates than LeBron and a legit second option in PG to take the pressure off of him, B) you conveniently excluded their efficiency, C) you didn't bring up defense when LeBron was clearly better on that end.

i agree about +/-. but when you play the entire 2nd half facing a 20 point deficit taking 39 shots, you earned that +10.

a) he had paul george. no one else took more than 6 shots. think the jazz knew who was gonna shoot?
b) efficiency is a dirty word. i never understand why people discount the value of having someone to give the ball to every trip.
c) lebron was better on d

but overall . . .cmon, man!! they were a dead fish on the dock down 20 having lost three straight (two by double digits and he was losing the mental game to rubio). if you can't see russ flying with the red cape tonight then something is wrong in your occipital lobe.

Jazz don't deserve to win if they're blowing 25 point leads in the 3rd quarter. Those Rubio and Crowder iso's were disgusting to watch. Synder made a horrible decision in leaving Rudy in the game with 4 fouls in the 3rd. Rudy was essentially non-existent in the 4th because of this, can't even put him in the pick & roll because you're afraid he'll get called for an offensive foul. This game is on Synder, poor decision-making and failure to stop any of OKC's momentum. If the Jazz don't come out strong next game and win they might as well concede Game 7, OKC will have figured them out.

That's exactly what I did at first. I wasn't the one who brought up LeBron. There's no hostility here, all I'm saying is that I think LeBron definitely had the best performance of the night though Russ was a monster.

Pretty much summarizes the series

End of 4th
Mitchell 23 pts on 22 shots (10 pts with his next 16 shots)
Westbrook 45 pts on 38 shots (33 pts with his next 19 shots)

A game of two halves.

Now this Thunder team knows that it's never out of a game. We'll see if they can nullify the Jazz homecourt advantage.

It was both Pg and Westbrook that made that comeback. Westbrook hit big shots but he didn't do it by himself

All it took was for the NBA to ignore their own rules and get the right refs.

They Jazz took way too many threes in the second half. Especially Crowder.

i didn't need to. i chose to. and maybe it was for myself. i made a complimentary post about lebron as well in that thread. visions of mj over ehlo, even fading the same way. but angry russ blew me away. including a lebron comparison on a night that adds to his goat case shows how nuclear this was by russ.
