i'll be pissed if this isn't done and official by tomorrow afternoon.

denvers getting a great deal here, if it's what woj is reporting. nobody else will come close to it, and the nets aren't gonna make it any better with time.

take it, run away with a smile and rebuild. and if something's holding detroit up, try to make them happy to get the deal to go through.

I think Melo just does not sign with the Nets.

I really think they need a 4th team to get this done.

It's obvious Carmelo is just going through the motions. Denying stuff.

Think what you want, thats not whats being reported. Denver is hesitant to pull the trigger.

I'd love to see Denver's GM get burned for trying to get more at the last minute and end up with the Nets backing out completely from their ridiculous shenanigans. I want Denver to lose him in FA and get nothing for him.

Funny how it's so personal for Knicks fans, when the Knicks aren't even involved. But then we're talking about a guy who they used to call a 'punk bitch', but now apparently love...only to soon hate again.

Lol I'm not a knicks fan, I'm a nets fan. And I'm tired of this melo garbage. I'd rather not get him at all and see him leave for the knicks in FA while Denver gets nothing.

Yes hes a terrible guy for trying to get more. Get real. Hes a top player in the NBA and probably wont have a guy of his caliber for a long long time. Hes absolutely right to get as much as possible. As much as it frustrates you guys it doesnt matter.

It's funny, because sources say Denver has been exclusively negotiating with the Nets, so clearly they want to deal with the Nets pretty badly. If I'm Billy, I'd call their bluff and let them deal with other teams to see what they can get. We clearly have the most to offer yet they're still pandering. Enough is enough.

I mean the reports saying Denver are the one with cold-feet just gotta make you laugh at all of this.

They're the ones penetrating deep into the Nets anus here with a baseball bat in this trade to begin with, and they get cold feet? cause of what?

The 15 other teams taking numbers to stand in line and offer them a better deal? they got nothing to bargain with! thier guy is leaving for free if they don't trade right now, or they're getting the NY offer which is alot lower.. who are they to stall the deal? haha this is just amazing.. I don't know if I should cry or laugh at this, if true.

I say they're stalling cause they're trying to convince Melo to 'OK' this thing, and even if they don't actually go through with the trade it will look like they 'tried' and it was all canceld cause of Melo and he's the bad guy.

Here's a 15 team deal that works financially and is consistent with rumors (Minus the picks, of course).

You mean 15 player?

While a 15 player deal would be pretty epic, I'm dying to see a 15 team deal.

I did the trade as announced on the trade checker.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=26vpv5r

It puts Detroit over the salary cap by 6 million which is probably why they are reluctant to take on Petro. Denver would pay 86 million in salaries this year and I cant see that happening with them losing Carmelo and Billups. They might have a firesale.

And the west gets weaker with the blazers and nuggets rebuilding.
Kings get a top pick next year. Things are looking good out west!

I'm sorry, it's just hard to believe Rip Hamilton and his 15.3 PER and 51% TS are what swayed Melo to come to NJ. Rip literally hasn't been above average for years now, and Billups is declining at mach 7.

Billups/Rip/Melo/Humphries/Lopez/no bench whatsoever is way worse than the current Nuggets and probably even the current Knicks.

Leon Rose is a bad agent. He's apparently sold Melo on the trade that will destroy his career and legacy.

If Rose can get Paul to Jersey, they will be fine

 trying to get the best deal - like every single other GM for every pro team tries to do - is bad?

and quitting on your team and hurting your own team - like melo is doing - is ok?

yeah..sure. weve done nothing 'ridiculous'. melo, on the other hand, is not acting like a professional (last i checked, the other 99.9% of pro athletes dont do what hes doing)

if melo has a legacy, hes ruining it himself.
