Beal is just a kid if he gets stronger and turns up his intensity he could be a beast. I see some pre diva Wade in him the way he likes to get rebounds blocks. He is a good kid. Again if he gets stronger and faster he could be nice.

Patrick Beverly considered a rookie? Even though is is older, another first year player to look out for. playing off the bench in limited minutes with the Rockets he has looked good. I think there is a highlight vid of his season somewhere.

On-topic, I'm REALLY liking Bradley Beal, and agree that he's "closing the gap". I feel a Steph Curry-like second half resurgence when Tyreke won it isn't out of the question.

I might even say if Beal played the entire season like how he's been with Wall and the other Wizards healthy, he'd be a coin toss with Lillard for ROY. He's really been that good.

Good to see a Heat fan appreciate Beal's game. Since January 2013 Beal might be the best rookie in the NBA. His poise at such a young age is very impressive. I wouldn't be shocked if he turns out as the best player from the class 5 years from now (Anthony Davis will probably be right up there too). Regardless Lillard has the award locked up and deservedly so but Beal should finish in 2nd place.

you obviously havent seen drummond play

Drummond hasn't proven he can do it vs 1st string talent and play big minutes every night. He has a lot of potential but over the years there has been a lot of guys like him that didn't pan out after great numbers in limited minutes as rookies and 2nd year players. He hasn't even had a 20 points 10 rebound game yet in his career. Plus he really needs to improve his free throw shooting. With that said I wouldn't be shocked if he makes a few all-star games in his career. He's very talented with a great touch around the basket.

That's just disrespectful to say. Who knows what Lillard's potential is, he is only 22 years old. But the fact is he is the best rookie right now. Drummond might be an all-star one day or might be a career back up. Potential is just that, potential. It's not a guarantee for future success.

I don't think you need to jump on the guy because he doesn't think Lillard will improve at a star pace. Lillard is already a great shooter and a decent distributor. Improvement is largely predicated on how they utilize their size and athleticism. Lillard already utilizes both probably better than any rookie to come along in a while and I don't think there is much else he can do there in that department. He can become a better passer and I think we can see a slight uptick in his finishing at the cup, but I don't see him taking a step into the realm of superstar. I think he's an all star PG that won't be in the realm of Parker, Rondo, CP3, Irving, Rose.

Waiters dropped 26 tonight on the Heat on 11-17 shooting. He is playing really nice basketball lately.

Davis with 20/8 in right under 28 minutes. 9/14, 2-2 from the line, and no turnovers.

Davis with 20 points and 8 rebounds in only 27 minutes. Would love to see what would happen if he ever got the 40 minutes and 22 shots type nights that lillard gets.

He scored 20 points on 14 shots. He could miss all 8 and still have a good night. Really strange response.

Waiters seems to play better vs the best competition. I loved that jumper he hit with under 2 minutes left in the game vs the Heat. He doesn't seem to shy away from big moments.

And what are you even talking **** about? Davis was the number 1 pick for a reason. He may turn out to be better than Lillard and it wouldnt be such a big surprise. Why do u have to talk **** about what LIllard is doing like it makes you so jealous deep down inside.

Lol, it's actually the exact opposite. Never fails that if you put a rookie and lillard in the same post, a blazer fan loses his mind. Though I expected Shem to be honest. Wishing Davis got the minutes and shots lillard does is not talking **** about lillard. Lord.

Well you are a Hornets fan and you should know why Davis isnt getting 22 shots and 40 minutes right off the bat. He is a big man who doesnt have the ball in his hands all the time and he is not an offensive stalwart that deserves to have 22 shots drawn up for him already. Atleast, your coach doesnt think so.

I'd like to see Mirza Teletovic with +20 shots a game and 44 mpg, but not everybody can do that bro, is not that easy
