Melo, maybe as I could see Knicks eating Ryan Anderson/Gordon but would be monumentally stupid since they're really going nowhere, so, why bring back contracts for players that really aren't in your future tanking plans just to get rid of Melo. If that's the case, instead of having to pay out 101mil guaranteed for 3 years left on EG/RA, just buyout Melo at 35-40mil and stretched and be done with him while preserving cap space to take bad deals with picks attached in 3-5 years time.

And PG just seems like a pipe dream but I guess one can dream...

PG is likely a one year rental. The price tag on him won't be as high as some people think.

You really think Pacers take on 31mil/yr in RA/EG even if HOU took back PG/Monta/Al Jeff. HOU's 1st rd picks are all but useless cuz they'd most likely be low 20's anyways, so, how is this appealing to IND?

I think Love + Cedi at the very worst is more appealing than RA/EG. And we all know BOS can blow away any deal with draft picks alone let alone player talent on top. Morey got pipe dreams.
Come at the king, you best not miss...

Harden is gonna have the same effiency as his OKC final year. Near 50%FG, 40%3, and better A-TO ratio. He will still put up 25PPG and might not even have to play as many minutes.

I'm pretty sure any bandwagon we ever had was long gone after the Rockets chokejob in 2015.

Is adding another GOAT level flopper to Houston the same as Golden State adding a second MVP?

It just goes to show that you should not let outside forces (like teammates) steer your free agency choices. I am not saying DJ would be better off in Dallas right now, but he committed to a team that was obviously not as committed as he ended up being.

Man one thing is for sure though. Houston will become hated really soon just off Harden and Paul's flops alone. Gonna be a disgusting to watch live

I think the Rockets can involve other teams. It doesn't have to be a straight up trade.

It is crazy how 2 great floppers will be together. Maybe they should make a move w/ Boston for Marcus Smart.

I'm not too familiar with the Rockets roster, but what assets do they have remaining to land Paul George?

That's one thing I'm definitely not going to miss about the CP3 era: the flopping and all the hate that comes with it. Blake flops sometimes too, but nowhere near as much as he did a few years ago and certainly not as much as CP3 does.

They were already really hated last season for this. Not sure if it could get much worse but we will see.

Anderson, Gordon and Ariza.

One would think they'd like to keep Gordon because they have no other shooting guard but a trade with Anderson as the centerpiece isn't exactly ideal.

Capela

I would trade Capela for Marcin Gortat and that can challenge the Warriors starting 5. If Igoudala is available, scoop him up too.

Why? Capella is arguably just as good if not better, and is ten years younger..one of the more underrated players in the nba

You do got to give Houston credit for making moves and not being complacent. Many teams would be more than content w/ winning 55 games and making it to the second round in the West - plus having a leading MVP candidate, COTY, 6MOTY, and setting lots of records - they are making this move to try and take it to an even higher level and I think it's great.

Situations are eerily similar except with the flopping element. CP3 flopped his way to a 3-1 lead against the Rockets, only to choke it to the flopper he just joined.

Glad that the two biggest actors in the NBA are both on the same team now, Houston should just collect all the players that annoy me it makes it very easy for me to single one team out then.

So (take a breath): Beverley, Williams, Dekker, Harrell, Kelly, Liggins, Quarterman & 2018 first (small protection) to Clippers for CP3.

-David Aldridge

Jerry West+Lawrence Frank did a hell of a job considering circumstances. Pick is only top 3 protected.
