Nets fan here - I would like to extend a request for fans of opposing teams.
Please go easy on us when this doesnt work out, we're about to go on a decade without any picks..... FOR THE 2ND TIME!

Seems a very, very risky move for Brooklyn. But can see why they believe it worth the risk. If it lands a championship its worth it. But do Kyrie, KD and Harden coexist?

Cavs seem to have landed a useful piece, although they have a huge big logjam.

Harden required to jog to Brooklyn to shed the pounds, per sources.

Rockets got hosed. Picks in the late 1st round and Oladipo for an ATG?

Bro they got 3 firsts and 4 swaps. That's quite a bit.

They'll all be 25+ picks that NBA teams trade sometimes just to preserve cap space. These picks 90% of the time are nothing.

Maybe. But the Nets might only have a 1.5 year window. If they can't get to the finals this year or next things could get ugly. KD/Harden/Kyrie are all FAs after next year. It's a team with no leaders and no defense. I like the gamble on the picks.

Essentially

Harden = PG
Irving = SG
Durant= SF

Rest of the Roster is kind of irrelevant.

That's 3 players that are going to score on excellent efficiency for at least 75-80 points between them and you can't really double team any of them now.

I’m pretty sure the Nets can Find a big that can defend and rebound some where. Maybe trade for one

The first few picks will be later picks but in a few years you will begin to see this nets team fall off. Kyrie is already extremely injury prone and Harden and Durant have a ton of mileage on their bodies. Both should still be incredible over the next few years though. I'm looking forward to seeing how they all mesh.

That’s loads of talent. KD an MVP and 2 time champion and 2 x FMVP. Harden was an MVP, current scoring champion and was clearly rated higher than Anthony Davis as a player according to RealGM. Irving is also an All Star and Champion in his prime. They should be favorites by these talent evaluators :nod: :nod: :nod:

Hoping for no major injuries. Really hope the Lakers take care of business and face the Nets as it will be arguably the most talented team Lebron, or anyone might face, and he will have the odds stacked against him by these metrics. Excited to see how this unfolds :lol: :D

They're gonna need to figure out how to distribute those shot attempts and/or they need to be OK w/ sharing the high shot attempt getter nightly a la the Hak/Chuck/Clyde Rox. Can they do that in 60 gms? Will Harden snap out of his pouty funk? CAN they mesh well even if they really want to? All unanswered questions. Otoh, the Lakers are already figuring out who they is.

I don't think the Nets have enough defense to win a championship.

Only move left is to trade Kyrie now. Who wants that headache?

Awesome job by the Pacers.

Dipo was as good as gone, not sure why he wanted out, but he was leaving. Dipo has looked pretty good this season, but I'm unsure he'll ever be what he was. He is certainly not a max player, reported that's what he wanted.

Levert is a great pick up. Similar player, but younger and under contract. I'm excited for the Pacers. W also get Lamb back soon and Warren back before the end of the season.

And Jordan back to the Clippers for Ibaka, then trade Nash for Scotty Brooks.

I really do love what the Pacers are doing, and have for a while.

I remember getting flayed on this site for saying Sabonis was a high caliber prospect back in the day when everyone was talking about how yall got fleeced in the PG trade :lol:

Your team is deep, talented, and very unselfish. They're my Eastern sleeper

My personal opinion is no more than 2-3 years. They have pick swap in 2027?? Yea, I don't expect Durant to be good at the age of 39.
Good assessment:

I don't even care what's going to happen in Brooklyn, either way it'll be entertaining as hell.

All that offense, no defense, and Irving running around with a bucket of gasoline and box of matches :lol:

Everybody keeps talking about this trio, but Kyrie has been AWOL for weeks, and no one knows why or when he's coming back, and there are now stories coming out that people who know him are worried about his state of mind. It's not a trio until/unless Kyrie gets his stuff together and comes back.

Making a move of this magnitude when there is this degree of uncertainty about one of your existing stars doesn't seem like the smartest move. Given Kyrie's absence and Dinwiddie's injury, you're looking at a lineup that not only is gutted of its depth, but doesn't even have a full starting 5.

I mean yeah the Nets might not have much depth but they just traded a whole pile of a junk for a top 5 player.

The NBA is just **** man. Everything is about teaming up these days. It sucks.

How do you stop that offense?

By scoring 150 on that defense.
