There are different types of athleticism. Luka isn’t fast or quick. But pound for pound he is easily one of the strongest players in the NBA, his body control, and deceleration are absolutely elite. Everyone bitches about Luka complaining about fouls, and he does take it to far, but he is fouled A LOT, and can feel it but because he’s so strong he’s fight through it so refs don’t call it.

Is there a thought in Dallas that he could/should go on an extreme diet/workout regiment one offseason?

Yep, Harden has a plan and he executes it very well. Luka has that ability to leave his feet with no plan at all and just find someone and hit them with the perfect pass. Both very good at their particular style of doing it.

Chubby Luka may be helpful. He can play bully ball.
