Everyone knows 6-2 is better but they're never gonna admit it cos it brings Lebron that much closer to Jordan. You gotta think about how many times you've read something along the lines of "MJ went 6/6. GOATs don't lose in the finals. End of discussion" and then think of the implications of the one who said it admitting that it was a silly argument. It's just easier to defend something you've heard all your life and been saying all the time than to admit it makes no sense.

If he lost the 2 finals pre 1991 then 100% its more impressive.

If lost it during the 90s (outside of 95 when he came back with only 17 regular season gms) then i dont think its as impressive.

It hurts his and the 90s Bulls invincibility aura.

Doesnt matter either way to me...I think we overlook how big a number 6 actually is...5 is greatness...but only Celtics have more than 6....and MJ did it in 2 SEPARATE 3-peats...No team has had two runs of at least 3 except them...After going to play baseball?..Guy was so good...Counting the playoffs in 96, 87-13?...Are you kidding..And then 69 more reg season wins the next year, and another title...The best 2 reg seasons in back to back years...The stuff the guy did was just incredible...I mean you actually couldnt believe it...Truth

In a week or two this thread will re-emerge asking if it would be more impressive to go 6-3.

I agree. The only way it's less impressive is if it means Jordan didn't miss that season and a half and lost those 2 finals to the Rockets.
Right now the feeling is sort of that he won 6 but it would have been 8 if he hadn't taken a break. If he plays those 2 seasons and loses, it changes the perception.

You can see it in multiple ways, but the reason I think never losing the finals is impressive, is because every time the team was good enough to go all the way they didn't drop the ball. All that really matters is winning the finals though, it's pretty minor.
