Everybody wins. Raps get their ring. Raps wont get their ring with all the upgrades around the league and with their aging roster. Kawhi will get a chance for another ring and lifestyle with Clips.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

What a weird thread. I do not feel bad, not even a little.

That 'chip and the memories it provided will sustain me pretty much indefinitely.

Best of luck to Kawhi, I always figured he'd go to LA because it was exactly what he wanted before he was traded and he just doesn't get phased by much. If anything, I'm forever grateful that he gave everything he had and didn't b*tch out like AD or Vince, who tanked their play after they decided they didn't want a future in their current market.

I don't need anybody's pity lol

Dont feel bad at all. They can take that championship to the bank.

I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated Los Angeles LAKERS as NBA Champions in near future. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

I think Boston and Toronto both will feel the heat of how they treated their stars in the upcoming free agencies.

I guess that's one way to pretend the Kemba Walker signing didnt happen

I don't consider Kemba a star. We'll see how far he takes you guys this season tho, should be a fun year regardless.

Don't feel badly for us. We get to be relevant for two years with a fun, young core and then make a play for Giannis in 2021.

I feel sorry for the 18 teams that either have never won a championship or haven't won since the time of Jesus.

Raps fans are good, but thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

I am fine with seeing how MU pivots, he is not complacent and is going to keep the raps relevant for years to come.

Lol, of course he's a star, but that's OK. I guess everyone has their definitions.

Yes, it will be an interesting season. I'd expect the Raptors to be just fine in the RS but the loss of Kawhi hurts. Gamble was worth it 100%.

It's offtopic but Kemba and Kyrie's stats are super identical. Kyrie's efficiency is slightly better but on much better teams, Kemba averages more FTs and has managed to stay healthier so far. Kyrie is younger. They are really similar.

Anywho I felt bad for the Raptors cause their entire organization and city kissed the guy's ass and despite the fact it took a fair amount of luck, they won a title and deserved at least 1 more year. I was a bit surprised he didn't give them another year.
Good assessment:

I really really love Kemba, this is a great signing for you guys. If you guys can get more help with the frontcourt to compensate for the loss of Horford and Baynes I can see you guys being a lot better this year.

I think this might be the year our teams match up in the playoffs. I expect us to be middle-low seed this year unless Masai chooses to trade all of our expirings.

Yep, I could definitely see a 1st round 4/5 matchup
