Yeah about that, there was a time when Sam Cassell and Steve Nash came off the bench in their careers.

TJ McConnell is 33

So he's the best old backup PG in NBA history? Why would his age matter? He's clearly not the best backup we've ever seen. Cassell was the backup on back-to-back title winners. You think McConnell was better than him?

Misread your comment, thought you were saying he's about to be a starter.

(Nash was only a backup for his first couple years and wasn't anything special in that role though)

He's only been voted for in the 6th man voting twice in his entire career, which spans 10 seasons.

Feels like the Pacers have been playing above their level a bit. Just gotta hold the lead for 24 more minutes.

Hali has bounced back.

Paskal is doing his thing.

00 Sub Zero is killing it.

That filthy little varmint TJ is also killing it.

1st NBA finals in Indy in forever, you knew they’d be hyped tonight. They got a huge punch from McConnell and Mathurin and that propelled them for the rest of the half. You can see that they have to play more methodically against this Thunder defense rather than the frenetic way they usually play but they executed. It’s just a good offense.

OKC is as good as everyone says they are but their offense still has their struggles sometimes on the road. They’ve shot the 3 ball well tonight. Very good game thus far.

Pascal has to up the intensity for Pacers. I haven't seen him play with that intensity since his early years in Toronto.

Turner may have to be glued to the bench I'd the Pacers want to pull this out.
