Look specifically at the shots this kid takes at the 35 second mark and the 50 second mark. That's a 19 year old kid taking and making those shots with ease....I don't know how often we've seen that in this league from a player at his age but I'd assume never or very rarely.

I recently told someone that he reminds me of Ray Allen and the reaction I got is that I'm crazy.

I'm not sure what they are calling it these days but it's like the look away three pointer. He turned around while the shot was still in the air like he knew he made it. Curry did the same thing in pre season.

Come on man. Can't just go renaming things we all know that's called the Hibachi.

I don't think I'll ever forget that shot vs the Jazz.

D'Angelo since the all-star break: 9 games, 19ppg/5apg/3reb, 48% 3P on 6 attempts, 46FG%

Those numbers are almost exactly what he averaged in his one year at OSU.

3P% by month:
Oct: .250
Nov: .321
Dec: .327
Jan: .344
Feb: .462
Mar: .441

Safe to say he's adjusted to NBA distance and pace.

So Towns went 28 pts, 14 reb, 2 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl tonight and I guess the most surprising thing about that is that it does not surprise me at all.

Karl Anthony-Towns is pretty much locked in for 20-10 at least, it is so weird that a twenty year old consistently puts up these numbers, and it is only a decent night when he goes 18-8, haha.

Yeah he's putting up some crazy stat lines. He'd be praised as the next GOAT if he were in LA or NY.

Towns was clearly the consensus number one pick so no idea why'd you need to "thank god we didn't draft okafor". seems like an unnecessary dig at Okafor since its probably incredibly safe to say they never seriously considered taking Okafor.

You're talking about the franchise that used the 6th, 4th, and 2nd picks in consecutive years to select Johnny Flynn, Wesley Johnson, and Derrick Williams, respectively. You will rarely lose money betting against the ineptitude of the Timberwolves front office.

I am unsure how my comment is really that odd, he is already arguably the second best Centre in the league right now, he is going to be an unstoppable force.

not sure if you remember, but you said he may be the greatest big man in nba history.

also not sure what the hype about larry nance jr is. yeah, he dunks well.

uh, so? the rest of his game and his overall stats are very underwhelming. especially on such a poor team.

He absolutely could potentially become the greatest bigman in NBA history. Yes, the expectations are high, but I have no idea how that is preposterous. At the age of twenty, he is having the best rookie season since Tim Duncan (or LeBron James). The sky is the limit for this dude; I am a massive, massive cynic, but I am certain Towns is a lock for the Hall-of-Fame going forward.

He is a very efficient young player that rebounds at a very respectable rate and that is very athletic. Nobody is c hyping him up to be a star, but he will be a very solid bench player, which is great value at 27.

Its not that ridiculous, he's 19 or 20 now and he's already top 5 center in the NBA. Maybe top 3.

With more experience, there's no reason as why to why he cant be what domejandro said. Injuries are the only thing that can stop this kid.
