Again for people saying they can't let asymptomatic players play, what is the harm actually? Them playing at all is putting everybody at risk as you can see. The NBA just doesn't want to look like they are heartless. I've been saying it over and over that these protocols are worthless. They don't catch cases in time and they sit guys for 10 days who feel nothing.

Everyday you're seeing way more guys go on the list than come off so at some point, pretty much every game will be a complete joke. It's so hard to find a game from night to night that isn't half backups/g-leaguers. It's ridiculous. This is such madness.

Damion Lee out for the Warriors now too, there goes their wing rotation. Time to adopt the NFL's new policy and now Silver.

when did he say that?

He was on ESPN yesterday acknowledging that non testing of vaccinated/non-symptomatic players is now the NFL's policy (as of a few days ago), and that "this virus is not going to be eliminated, so it is time to learn to live with it". I would imagine it's just a matter of days before he also makes it the official policy of the NBA.

The NFL doesn’t have a Canadian team. You need a test or proof of recovery in the past 90 days to enter Canada and enter the US. Unless there is an exemption for athletes I’m not aware of.

A) That is obviously not their policy and I'm not sure where you're reading that.

B) I hate to be the one to break it to you but if those spouses/kids are part of society they're bringing it home already.

1) isn’t the NFL no longer testing asymptomatic players?

2) Young kids with stay at home moms don’t have to be around the public much at all

You said, "for players known to have COVID to play against players who don't". That is clearly not what they're doing. They're simply no longer going to test vaxxed players with zero symptoms. The same thing the NBA is about to do (and the rest of society does).

You don't need to move the goalposts to try to fit in unrealistic narratives for >95% of families. Nobody is isolating at home.

Pro athlete families ARE the 1%

and 'They're simply no longer going to test vaxxed players with zero symptom' is the exact same thing I said... just said differently and you know it.

Pro athlete families have kids from all ages that are going about their lives just like anyone else. So are their spouses. You would have to be wildly ignorant to assume otherwise.

The simple thing to do would be to move Toronto back to Tampa Bay

you think people are going to watch? These will be the lowest rated Christmas games of all time.
These half g-league games are pointless because they are going to create wacky standings and aren't really representative of the playoffs.

these games feel like preseason games. if we keep it like this for 2-3 months, we are going to have some crazy standings/playoff brackets

So far we have healthy Utah, Steph, LBJ, CP3, Julius Randle and J. Brown/Tatum. I think that’s enough to scrounge some ad revenue from Christmas. I don’t think it will be the worst lineup just a forgettable one. All we need is some of the G-League games to be close and then hope the Phoenix/Golden State game carries the ratings

With all these players getting signed i'm surprised nobody has given Larry Sanders a look. Wasn't he trying to work his way back a few years ago?

Still, pro athletes would be way higher risk of contracting it then a typical family using basic precautions in their day to day lived.

These guys are constantly travelling, they are always in contact with their coaching staff and teammates, often breathing heavily without a mask, and they are indirectly exposed to virtually the entire NBA. We've seen how fast the cases spread from the Nets

Because these replacement players suck, it would be funny if teams started signing retired superstars for the novelty of the replacement player. Imagine Larry Bird playing 5 minutes with Jayson Tatum. It would be pretty lit.
