Well he obviously won't immediately have as good of numbers against real NBA competition as he does against the G league...maybe in time, but only like 2 players in the NBA avg 20/10 (Jokic barely I think)....much less 30/10 (none).
How is his 3pt shooting lately?
He still takes way too many stupid jumpers, 31.5% this season on 4.9 three point attempts
It's probably good to take a lot of attempts in the G league to try and get his % up but if he is shooting that when he gets into the NBA he should cut those out until he improves.
I do wonder how his blocks will hold up with quicker, better players. I imagine he's not quick enough to switch but stays near the rim on defense? I imagine he can cover a lot of ground quickly to move a bit to contest from there though like Gobert. Then his rebounding against bigger bangers might go down a bit, but his length should still give him quite a bit.
His FG% seems it wil be really high if he cuts out 3s though. If he can shoot from all over it will be impossible to guard obviously.
Has he ever had any injury concerns? How tall is he exactly? I've seen from 7'2 up to like 7'5. It seems like most players 7'3 or taller end up having a lot of injuries.
He is not playing in G league, he plays in France. He is very tall, newest report said 7'4 without shoes, and thats about right, his length is insane, Last season watching him against player I know, I would have guessed he is ''NBA'' 7'5, very very tall . He definitely not a switchy defender, but his rim protection is legendary, i have no doubt it will translate from day one. Yes, he did already had injuries, he missed Eurobasket because he had complication healing his thigh, and last season when he debuted in Euroleague, he battled reocuring injuries often, but nothing systemic yet, like having obviously bad knees or feet, like it often happens with guys his size. I mean he is a bit fragile, and even if he wasnt' being around 7'5 guy, injury concern is automatically high.
His biggest problem is shot selection and inability to switch well. But on the other hand, he takes tough shots and sometimes makes it, so its both bad shot selection, but he shows potential of him being tough shot maker and just a guy you can give the ball and let him shoot oever people without it being terrible possession. He can't stay in front of any guard, but he is so long that he is intimidating after switch, and he often able to contest and block shots even when his feet gets a little behind. His shot making will translate, obviously his switchable defense will probably be a concern against NBA guards who can blow pass you and just slam it down, in those instances, even 8 foot wingspan wont save him most of the time.
