I think he's the only all-star player to have gone his first 9 seasons without any all-star teammates. Denver's management has let him down for half his career. :D

Most consider Murray more than an adequate #2 when it comes playoff time.

Obviously he has dealth with a variety of injuries but if he was healthy/played closer to his playoff cability during the regular season then I think you would consistently see Nuggets with the #1 or #2 seed and Murray also being an allstar which would make this point not as egregious.

Since Embiid is out of the race, there's nothing in the way of Jokic and his 3rd MVP. He's by far still the best player in the NBA. I'm just glad I was around to watch yet another all-time great throughout his profession. Never take guys like these for granted.

Imagine if Jokic plays for an entire season where he gives a damn, a 4x time MVP tying Wilt and LeBron would be unbelievable to witness.

Luka is the best player in the game right now.

New Mavs are real. We'll see if they can get and stay healthy and how many games they can win.

I don’t get the SGA push for MVP.

Thunder one of the healthiest teams so far, Mavs one of the most banged up and they are just a couple of games ahead AND SGA has worse stats…

Like what Shai is doing with OKC wouldn't mind him or Jokic atp. Both are impressing me.

If the Mavs finish top 5 in the west it'd be hard to make a case against Luka. He's been the best offensive player in the league this year.

They're six games ahead, not "a couple". Dallas is closer to the 10th seed than they are to OKC.

SGA is an advanced stats monster too, and you can't ignore his impact defensively. I don't think many would have Luka ahead of him yet.

1. OKC is a much better team so far. Before tonight, OKC's net rating in non-garbage time minutes was 7.2 while Dallas's net rating was 1.9

2. SGA is a better defender than Luka

Jokic vs. Washington tonight: 8/8 shooting for 16 points, 18 rebounds, 13 assists in 25 minutes. Halfway through the 3rd quarter...lol

Again…SGA doesn’t have the team record argument when considering the health/DNP argument. Thunder should have a much bigger lead over the Mavs if you want to make the argument

5.5 games ahead is not a couple. Last year the difference between the 4th seed and the 10th seed was less than 5.5 games. This year Dallas are closer to the Warriors than the Thunder. And while Luka is ahead in box score stats like points, rebounds and assists, SGA has advanced stats and defense in his favor. And for all of Luka's stats tonight, he didn't make up any ground as SGA just led the Thunder to a blowout win over the fully healthy Clippers.

Jokic in 31 mins:

21/19/15 shooting 100% from the field.

Best player in the world. His MVP to lose.

What the hell kind of thinking is this? Mavs won too; did you want them to win two games in the same day? I can same thing about Shai. And for all of SGA's stats tonight he didn't make up any ground against the Mavs who just beat KD and Booker for their seventh straight win.

What on earth are you talking about? SGA is ahead of Luka in general consensus for the MVP race. In effect what I said is even though Luka was strong tonight in a win over the Suns, because SGA just put the Clippers to the sword, Luka didn't make up ground. This should have been easily comprehensible. Doubly so given Jokic's game too.

What on Earth are you talking about? Where in my post did I say anything about who the MVP should be? I dare you to find it. I'm saying they both won so neither made any gains against each other.

Oh, so you just didn't comprehend what I said, because I effectively said that same thing. It is what it is, no hard feelings.
