Just outmatched in all aspects. Was hoping for a more interesting series but the Celtics are jusf way better than the Knicks. The only way this will be close is if and when Boston plays with their food.

When I watch the Knicks now, feels like they aren’t a team. They have a lot of very talented players, but sometimes it looks like they are trying to force square pegs into round holes, hoping to make it work.

The refs also arguably gifted them a couple of wins in the Pistons series.

I hope the refs pull their whistles away in the second half though. There should be more leeway for tiggy touchy fouls in the playoffs imo

Here's my question for you guys. Knicks played a slow pace game during regular season despite being a guard-heavy team. 26th in the league in pace. In the playoffs they're top 3. It makes sense for them to play fast. Why don't they do that during regular season?

Wouldn't you assume it's because it's unsustainable with their starters playing so many minutes? They have to slow down so they don't get exhausted. I'm just assuming, myself.

That makes sense. However Thibs just has to look at his bench - tons of guards, use a big rotation, run them in and out. They've been good at finding and collecting guards. Why not make full use of it.

I think the Knicks are garbage can trash (only by R2 standards!!!), but I do think a better coach could lift them up a notch. The elite coaches are flexible. Or they have Jordan, Pippen, Grant, Kukoc, Rodman, Shaq, Kobe, Horry, Gasol, and Odom, and get help from cheating refs. I don't see the Knicks getting Jordan, Pippen, Grant, Kukoc, Rodman, Shaq, Kobe, Horry, Gasol, and Odom any time soon, so they need a flexible coach.
