Or just have same access to autopen Biden family and others had. Either way, right?

1. What Billups did had nothing to do with basketball.
2. Yes, players manipulating their own statistics to help others win prop bets is a scandal, but that has been going on for years. What did the NBA think was going to happen when it got in bed with the gambling industry?

Now the Ballmer thing is a huge scandal because it undermines the integrity of the entire collective bargaining structure and makes it almost impossible for an owner to win without cheating.

People want to play pretend that there is no political driven reasoning to it, and they’re too ignorant to realize that literally everything the fbi/feds etc do is politically and profit driven.

They were not receiving a cut most likely in which case it’s the only reason it’s such a “massive” national scandal. Anytime there’s character assassination involved I am highly skeptical.

There are some weird takes here. This was an investigation over a number of years under both Democratic and Republican administrations. What is the political motive? It turned up wire fraud and money laundering involving organized crime over eleven states. That makes it national, whether it's massive (a subjective media term) or not.

It’s not political whatsoever. Well unless you are one that needs it to fit a narrative this was all done by the racist right of Trump and his gestapo. Because those people’s narrative make EVERYTHING political.

Those dudes are guilty and trump is after the NBA… both things could be true at the same time… you think Trump would forget what Kerr, Pop, and warriors did to him easily?

Biden isn't President. Only Trump can save Chauncey. I don't know how much Trump charges for a pardon. I'm sure it's a $hit ton of money (or crypto). But, it's got to be better than rotting in a prison cell.

Alternatively, maybe Adam Silver just gives Trump an NBA expansion franchise in exchange for ending the FBI criminal investigation and saying that it was all just a big mistake.

I'm speechless - Chauncey turned out to be a complete moron. Who even puts themselves in this position after having such a great and profitable history as an NBA player, and a comfortable present as both an analyst and head coach? And for what - being the face of a poker scam that raked in about 8 million, split multiple ways?

He deserves what he gets at this point.
When the individual feels, the community reels.

I don't think you understand how Presidential pardons work. You have to actually be President to issue one.

Before you blame Trump, consider that your dog has eyes. He knows what's going on in your house. And, he's running for his life. Just saying. :D

Presidential pardons are out of control and shouldn’t even exist. There is so much conflict of interest it’s crazy.

So, you don’t care about facts at all? I mean even a little?

FBI beginning with a democratic administration years ago - in doing its job, exactly what FBI exists to do - started surveillance of all methods on organized crime figures. As they recorded even more illegal activity from individuals in their surveillance net - who happen to be NBA players/coaches but others were not high profile - FBI continued doing their job under a republican administration. When a coordinated arrest day came - which was Wednesday? - people conducting illegal activity were arrested. Including Rozier, Billups and others.

Where is the political motivation by any politician - more so current administration?!?

Maybe so, and that could be a worthy discussion. But first step is admitting it could be from either side of the political aisle. Right? Just maybe possible since we know of the autopen. Right?

It's actually not possible. Only the current President can issue a Presidential pardon. Chauncey's only hope is to pay Trump a bunch of money for a pardon. It's that or rot in prison.

Not trying to get too much on a tangent, but the auto-pen is on a level unlike any other because it wasn't the actual president giving PRESIDENTIAL pardons.

That being said some of them given over the last 2-3 decades have been highly questionable.

Ugh.

You say: Presidential pardons are out of control and shouldn’t even exist. There is so much conflict of interest it’s crazy.

I say: Out of control pardons happened via autopen too right? More proof presidential pardons are out of control.

You say: doesn’t matter, I am only biased about this president.

Ummmm k.
