Re: Sunday 4/3 Game Thread
I was anticipating the Heat to fold in the 2nd half, but they've kept their composure and are still holding onto that no.1 seed.

Meh, it don't matter, just need everyone healthy in time for the postseason. These are exhibition games at this point for them, no biggie.

Well sure you want to dominate the regular season game to game, but it's secondary to being healthy. Ask anyone on the Suns what they'd prefer. Winning a couple games at the end of the season literally doesn't matter anymore, they're the top seed, they got their rotations set, their minutes and lineups set, and now it's just trying to have the full squad ready to make a championship run.
If anyone is making sweeping generalizations about the Suns based on a couple end of season games when we have a full season to evaluate them, then those people's opinions do not matter. Suns are legit.

Siakam getting so many unjustified calls down the stretch
Psychotic. It didn’t make sense. I don’t know how you make it make sense

momentum still matters. the suns dont have the luxury to just turn things on instantly. The High Cyde wrote:spanishninja wrote:i disagree. you wanto dominate the league all the way to the end of the regular season, so teams dont think they have a chance against you. you think anybody is scared of the Sums now, based on Friday and today? The High Cyde wrote:Meh, it don't matter, just need everyone healthy in time for the postseason. Embiid with 44 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 blocks.
Harden with a 21-point triple-double.
I think if we get games like this in the playoffs, we might be OK.

257 players have made at least 50 free throws this season. Only two of those 257 have made more free throws than field goals. I think we all know who those two players are.

Well sure, but playoffs history has told us that those types of games are very few and far in-between.
Embiid is talented enough to go up strong to finish and score, not go up weak af and hope for calls. He falls down every time, the other team will grab the ball and start a 5v4 and will score. You need reliable half court offense with the primary goal being to score, regardless of getting fouled or not. If its genuine the refs will call it and people like me won't bitch about it. I'd love to see him dominate and get to the Finals. If Embiid truly wants to be great, start ripping teams throat out in the playoffs. The refs won't help him though. He needs to realize.
"If Embiid wants to be great...?
Dude has dominated this league the past two seasons. Players and coaches who bitch about how much Embiid goes to the line can stop sending him to the line. Let's see how that works.

Greatness is made in the playoffs, not the regular season.

I agree with that. Last year, Embiid played with a torn meniscus in his knee. He is hopefully going into these playoffs relatively healthy. We will see what happens.

Good win for the short handed Heat tonight. Happy to see Oladipo have a nice night after all the work he’s put in.

Versus 31 FT throws for the Cavs...including some SOFT AF calls against Maxey that put him on the bench for most of the 1st half.
If you don't want Embiid to shoot so many free throws, here's one suggestion.
DON'T FOUL HIM. Play him straight up. See how that works.

The Heat control their own destiny now. If they win 2 of their last 3 games, then they're the no.1 seed.

I feel bad for whatever team plays the 76ers in the playoffs.
32 FTA attempts for Harden/Embiid vs Cavs 31 FTA, oof.

They play the Hornets and Hawks at home. Closing with Orlando. They can win 2/3.
