That pre-season tournament Uconn won showed they were a good tournament team.

I always cheer for the underdog but when SD State got it closer, you could sort of tell they wouldn't be able to win it. It's not just them though, UCONN has looked a level above everyone they've ran into during this tourney.

But did this Sanogo dude really just turn 21 about a month ago?

Welp - that was a crappy game.

UConn should clearly be considered a blue blood now.

I wonder if Hurley will stick around long term or parlay this...idk if UConn has the boosters to compete against a program like Kentucky if they come calling...

Never understood why the NBA takes the day off for this.

The entire rest of the world that follows NBA could not care one bit about this game. They're all wondering what the heck is going on today and why there's no basketball.

Yea the game doesn't start till around 9:20pm est anyways, they could easily get a couple of games in that start at 7pm est

They probably have an agreement with the NCAA not to air games today or something.

With that said, the NBA has done a horrible job lately of scheduling games. This past Sunday we had a full slate and literally 2 were on national TV. There was nothing even on yesterday to compete.

The rest of the world can start its own league and schedule games all day on NCAA championship day. No one here cares one bit if the rest of the world doesn’t follow college basketball.

SDSU was never supposed to make it this far. Their recruitment should be great now with most of their team ineligible next season. I'm just trying to find solace somewhere

He's a Northeast guy. No way he would go to a place like Kentucky. He's solidified for life at UConn. And I'm not speaking as a fan of the program. I've watch Dan since his days at Seton Hall. He's been in this part of the country his entire life. I could see him retiring early and getting into broadcasting though.

This is my thinking too. UK likely won’t be in the market for another head coach for another 3-4 years anyway.

As well as he’s done at UK, the job has certainly aged him. I don’t see him coaching as long as K or Pitino. I also don’t see him leaving to go somewhere else because it would be a step down. He can still recruit well and is able to help players improve throughout the season.
