Porzingis has always been an all star or at worse fringe all star level player. The only problem was his health.
Somehow Porzingis has been relatively healthy this season but no matter what even if he wasnt you have to take the risk.
A player of Porzingis caliber is enough to give the Celtics the extra sauce needed to be a contender if healthy.
He's changed his play style a lot from his earlier days. He's gained strength without gaining a ton of weight and uses positioning more than leaping to close out and block shots. Before he was more of a flailer which made for some exciting plays but put his body at risk more frequently. His post movements have gotten a LOT more fluid as well. A lot less stress on his joints and a lot more power in his body = less injuries. Also "NBA training and recovery" methods probably help.
