LeBron scored 16 in the 4th quarter and was halfway to the locker room before the final buzzer (and he was still in the game).

That team was not contending this year.

Why not? They contended last year when they had a superstar paired with Kyrie.

Even ignoring that… maybe you thought… “Its only for 2 years until James retires”…

How the **** do you trade Luka for the deal you got?! That little. Lakers should have given up every first rounder available to them ON TOP OF Davis and Christie. That still would have been confusing but not this future crippling as it is.

The Mavs could have literally had ANYTHING they wanted in the league, a full blank **** check, and they just took the first offer like someone trying to get rid of a cat chewed sofa on Facebook Marketplace.

You'd expect from the Lakers terrible defense and unstoppable offense, it's been the exact opposite...

I actually think he may be moving better than in the last couple years.
Even on defense he's pretty quick laterally, which isn't something I remember him being for a while now.

He does look like he is moving better.

Happens to everybody. Especially with the Mavs playing like their lives depended on it while Lakers were pretty much toying with them majority of the game.

Neither is this one if we're being honest. I'd still take about 4 teams ahead of them for the title even with AD healthy. Unless we're using the word contender loosely.

OKC is unproven in the playoffs. Whos the west teams you believe can beat the Mavs?

They've been missing a lot of wide open 3s. Maybe the activity on defense affects legs?

Post game interview.

In case people forget, Luka Doncic, believe it or not, is a human being with a nervous system and emotions. Clearly sick of thinking about Dallas.

Sorry TNT, "I seriously doubt he is going to sleep"

I believe him when he says he is.

This Mavs team is in trouble with Kyrie as the main orchestrator on offense.

TNT called in and wanted it to be close for ratings. Mavs fell apart in clutch time without any main playmaker

LeBron definitely helped keep Luka from bailing the Lakers after 2026 in that 4th quarter, they needed to come through for him here

These days, they always seem to start hot from 3, and then the 3pt shot leaves them as the game drags on, so you may be right

No idea how any coach can gameplan their defense around Luka just giving up on the perimeter POA defensive assignments.

Luka played amazing defense tonight. He was staying with and bothered Kyrie all night.

Kyrie scored 35. He had a late And-1 that came from Luka almost immediately getting out of position. Luka was frequently almost entirely behind his assignments when they got into the paint. He locked in for stretches early on in the game and just before the half, but looked very Luka Doncic in the second half.
