You just hope the Wolves bench could bring some consistency. Obviously tonight's blitzkrieg is probably not going to happen again, but a consistent 30-35 a night without the backbreaking turnovers, gives them a chance.

They absolutely will bounce back from this and I expect them to win game 4.

Even this new Mission Impossible movie was a set piece movie first, story second. It may be technically a well-made movie, but it's also stupid as all hell. Ethan Hunt vs. Sky-Net.

I'm not sure if you've seen Fincher's "The Game." Someone had a great tweet saying all the Mission Impossible movies make sense if you view Ethan Hunt as a billionaire paying the IMF to provide fantasy scenarios where he can play a superspy ala the company in The Game

Why do people keep saying that every time a team loses big? Is there some inside joke I'm not privy to? Or...

This is why I'm skeptical OKC will retire his number. Jersey retirements are really subjective decisions based on how fans and the team feel about a player. OKC fans just don't seem to love OKC and because there was no title it is easier for them to not retire him. Especially since the fans love Russ who can represent that era.

OKC won't retire his jersey. Presti and our entire organisation knows how the fans feel about Durant.

His number was used after he left btw

Huh.

I wonder if his number will be retired anywhere (GS). If not, he might be the best player to not have it retired somewhere. Totally self inflicted and deserved if not.

OKC will be more focused in game 4, knowing the importance of the game, but I'm expecting another convincing TWolves victory.

On that note, I just found out Minny hasn't retired Garnett's jersey (Boston did). That's nearing curse territory. They just need to do it.

Someone had a post on here outlining it but Minnesota would like to retire KG's number but there is some type of owner-player issue where KG won't go. It isn't that they don't want to retire his number.

That's helpful. That may be grounds to avoid a curse. I don't rank high enough to say for sure.

Kevin Garnett and Glen Taylor hated each other. I would expect it to be retired next season (maybe the season after).

KG hates Glen Taylor for (what he sees as) reneging on a deal to get him some ownership stake in the team.

Now that Lore and A-Rod own the team, I’d expect it to happen soon.

Somewhere G R E Y is on tilt as this plays instead of the replay.

They'll announce it at the championship parade

Good. In seriousness, that really turned my head. He was synonymous with the team for so long.

This reminds me of people on Twitter posting AI photos of Tyrese Haliburton’s Reggie Miller moment. Just so bizarre to see ESPN leaning into the weird digital graphics.

I hate ESPN's NBA marketing but I'm not the target audience. They must have a lot of research showing this stupidity is what fans want.

Lots of creatives are leaning into AI tools for production. We are seeing AI driven mocap like this a lot now. It is fine if you have time for animators to clean it up and make it look good but to plug it straight into a game engine and drive some mannequins is trash.

Even with something like this, it isn't meant for showing to the public. This reeks of upper management thinking something was cool and pushing it as "see we can do stuff with AI" to their bosses or some shareholder meeting since that is what everyone wants to hear.
