I think they’ll Blake Griffin Butler next year to fill their bench.

Miami just cleared cap space by getting rid of Tyler Johnson. It gets worse by the day for Clippers.

If Ryan Anderson is going back it would make a difference even if a buyout which is less likely

What are the the protections on the 2020 1st rounder? I don't think I've seen them reported.

Harrell is better than Kuzma

That’s a wayyyy better offer. The Sixers package for Harris was a better offer alone.

Why? Dude is going to get paid AND be on a team that should play in June.

Why would he be angry?

i guess so, if everyone is so sure he is gonna get the max even if his stats drop playing behind Simmons, butler, and Embiid... not even sure how philly can afford to Max jimmy and Tobias next year too...

Scott is better than Muscala too. Boban is good for 6-8 minutes a night. Losing Shamet hurts the most for their bench tho

So, I’m looking at the list of players averaging 20+ points with +40% from three and noticed Harris and Hield on it. I also just realized Harris and Hield are the same age..

That seems crazy to me. I know it's true, but it feels like Harris has been in the league for eternity.

They could max someone as a massive free agent destination in 2020 to go with perfect aged Adebayo, Winslow and Richardson.

That pick is going to be 10-16 at best for Clippers.

Half of the players are injured this year, they’ve been trash and are still in pick 15 position. Just wait til they can use that cap space next off season and the fact they have Pat Riley who has let Miami finish with 1 pick inside the top 10 in the last 15 years.

Could of done a Bradley for Fultz swap with Bradley only guaranteed 2 mil next season. Clippers then dump him for anything maybe the Pelicans?

It's really not. I don't see ANY stars rushing to Miami to play with that core of mid 20's guys. Sure, Miami is a great place to play... but it's not gonna win out over the Nets, Clippers, Knicks, Lakers who have prime destination AND more assets/talented young players to build on. In 2021 Richardson will be 27, Winslow will be 24 (is still a below average NBA player), Bam will be 24 and is good, but not a free agent draw.

And still have Fultz to move if they really want to go all in

For all those wondering how can Philly afford maxing Butler and Harris this season, and adding Simmons to max next season: Philadelphia is the fourth or fifth largest media market. If the Warriors can make it work with their four All Stars, the Sixers can definitely make it work, too. Key is Butler and Harris can make more money with the Sixers than any other team since the Sixers have their Bird's Rights. The team is a finals contender now, and they get max money to stay. There is no stronger incentive to go to Brooklyn or LAC now.

I'm still excited because they don't have to move Fultz to acquire a fourth star. It's not a gamble to hold onto him and let him recover from his injury. He does so, and now they have a strong starting 5. Even if he returns with a slightly less than effective shot he is an upgrade on McConnell off the bench.

Next year is not the problem. The problem is the year after that, when Simmons' next contract kicks in, we will become a tax-payer.

(not a NINETY MILLION DOLLAR TAX PAYER like the Warriors, but still a taxpayer).

Exactly so you have Richardson hitting his prime and 2 very good young players improving in 2 years.

They also still have Olynk on the roster.

It's easy to predict something might go wrong but Pat Riley's history, the tax advantages of Florida, having cap space in 2020, being in a very shallow eastern conference and having 3 good young players right now all point towards it being very unlikely that pick is top 10.

Obviously the biggest factor is the history of the team who have always preferred to treadmill than bottom out.

All the factors point towards 10-16 at best and it would take a lot of things to change (Pat Riley bizarrely changing his strategy, the east somehow getting super deep, Miami facing a heap of injuries, the young good players at the moment going backwards and the cap space and tax advantage nature of their location not being utilized).
