This has to be the biggest tragedy in pro sports history right? I honestly cant think of anything that compares outside the Marshall plane crash, which was sadly more deaths but nowhere near the icon Kobe was.

In 1958 half of the Manchester United Football Team got killed in a plane accident, also the Death of Ayrton Senna pops to my mind. Just wanted to mention it, but this is not a game of ranking the most dramatic deaths here. RIP to a Legend!

the Superga Tragedy, The Heysel disaster were different magnitudes........but this one with Kobe&daughters feels different because he was like a person you knew personally

Sadly I trust TMZ reporting on this more than ABC's. TMZ and I believe the LA County Sheriffs have confirmed there are 5 dead, 2 of which are Kobe and the pilot.
