Hey good news, an update on my young bulldog. We found about a hand in size of hay that he threw up hidden in our bed. Think that was what was causing all his breathing problems. Doc checked him out and gave him an X-ray and some nausea medicine and he’s looking really good now!

So no Covid bro lol.

Beck is another moron, he must feel like such a saint saying that in his comfy in home office. Him and Patrick would turn heel and find excuses if they were told to lead by example. Get these jackasses out of here

This thread went off the deep end. If you wanted to contain the virus it needed to be done in January. Accept it now as the new flu.

I am surprised that 60% of Americans agree with Trump's handling of the crisis. That is pretty high considering how partisan this country is right now.

New York isn’t receiving priority. The state was begging the CDC for tests since February 2nd. They were ignored.

The state has partnered with private labs, and has begun to make its own tests.

But why do you think these private labs are partnering with New York? Its not like other states don't want the tests--they do. New York just gets priority right now due to a number of (legitimate) reasons. I don't think it is fair to say that states outside of NY are "ignoring the problem".

You just gotta read Dow.

It's all throughout the thread and the news. The Gov'ner of NY has been updating the world every day what he's been doing.

From working with people in and out of state, calling other countries, doing work on multiple fronts. Just gotta read up on it before you hint at some kind of favoritism. I don't know where you're getting your news from.. but maybe check local NY news if you don't trust or are not hearing what Cuomo has been doing..

You can find links to a lot of the Gov'ner's updates here..

Thank god Cuomo and the state of NY created their own test or we wouldn't have known the extent of infections.

Less than a few weeks ago this was a myth.

Do you have some data or something to show that we will all get infected no matter what?

Where are those numbers? Would love to see them.

Opinion question for everybody..

Wherever you are.. at what point did or do you feel your local "two weeks" began?

Personally I thought we were just starting week 1 where I live. Of doing it more for real.

Is your local "two weeks" or more over? In the middle? Or just started? (or other)

I ask this also completely aware that "two weeks" may not be enough, and some places/sectors will be down much longer, but that's not what the question is about.

More about when you thought was your local start date?

I work in downtown Cleveland and this Thursday would mark the 2nd straight week I have worked from home. I consider that first day of working from home to be when our local start date was. Cuyahoga County has almost as many cases of COVID 19 as the rest of the state of Ohio, so we closed up shop fairly early. The Governor started closing bars, salons restaurants, etc fairly early.

Yeah I saw these graphs at the end of the second peak as they were turning for a third.

Seems we are already back to reaching peak flu season in week or so. Seems like capacity is coming hard and fast.

I have no idea what Congress is doing with this relief package. I read where the proposed new bill wants to include $35 million for the Kennedy Center. Are they converting that to a hospital or something? The heck is going on in D.C.?
