Not to mention he was also liking posts about vaccines being a government conspiracy inspired by satan or some chit and all the crazy stuff he's done in the past. Kyrie's PR team must think an average person is as dumb as he is.

Yep. I was watching a recent video where that Trump lackey Sen. Lindsay Graham was doing a speech in front his local constituents and encouraged them to get vaccine and got booed the hell out. He asked what's their objection to vaccine to which they responded they're not against vaccines but government mandates. Like seriously, the mandates been around a month. What's your excuse for not getting the vaccine before the mandates came around? These people will keep shifting the goal post to deny taking the "mark of the beast".. idiots.

And Trump was advocating for people to get vaccinated as well. It’s just these Q Anon, conspiracy theorists, afrocentrists that are pushing anti vax propaganda. I guess these are Kyries people ? Smh

Literally at every single stop. His untimely injuries and off court BS are just insane. And he doesn't care at all. It's amazing. He like, doesn't feel any need to try to be any different.

In retrospect, Cavs are the luckiest of the 3 teams to be able to get a chip out of him before things turned sour.

He is indeed a "generational" player. I mean it would be hard to top all his shenanigans. Who's gonna be the next Kyrie

Honestly, I think that's probably true on some level. He is so flimsy in terms of the things he latches onto. It's so arbitrary. Like, Maya Moore stopped playing in the WNBA in order to try to free wrongfully convicted man. Kyrie is doing it to help a bunch of willfully ignorant people and then some who just don't have the resources to feel better. There's no real rhyme or reason. He's as fickle as the wind.

Lmfao I will give kyrie credit he plays a great and relatively unique version of a public clown. Cant wait for the next thing he can be hilariously wildly off base about.

“Shut up and dribble” is oddly suited for Kyrie. Kyrie is good at dribbling a basketball, which just so happens to be a very lucrative skill. Without basketball Kyrie would be flipping burgers, quit acting like you’re MLK

Looks like I was right about the mandate being more of an issue for him than the vaccine itself.

I wonder what will happen if the jab can be replaced by a pill. Will that be sufficient for Kyrie?

Other things to ponder:

How do KD and Harden really feel?

Will the Nets relent on the no play or practice condition until fully vaccinated come playoff time?

Nah, you still are not, unless you show me proof that you guys predicted the pandemic and a vaccine mandate. Kyrie has not been a locker room cancer here like Celtics fans told us he would be. This situation is entirely related to a vaccine mandate and Kyrie is no doubt a dumbass for his stance, but he has been a well liked, popular figure in the Nets locker room. They're separate things.

Book it.

This has become truly bizarre. I can understand a debate about mandates, but the various vaccines were available prior to these mandates. I can also sort of understand how shunning of those who aren't vaccinated might be counterproductive, even though I agree that everyone who can get vaccinated should.

But a voice for the... voiceless? There is no shortage of people who are proudly arguing against vaccinations, mandates, or both for a variety of reasons. Their voices have been heard ad nauseum and are trumpeted through many platforms, including some mainstream news outlets.

This... Probably why LeBron insists that the 16' chip makes him the greatest ever... Imagine having Kyrie and JR on the team with Gilbert as the owner and beating the 73 win warriors from down 1-3...

I sympathize the C's as well... even though I sports hate that franchise...

Kyrie was and will always be a grade A narcissistic idiot... Nothing to analyse deeply for these characters. Simple. Barkley has said it many times.
"And a Man?... A Man provides... And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it.... Because he's a Man...."

And also like, there are people stuck in penitentiaries for weed charges and crimes they didn't commit, or crimes they only committed because the system screwed them. All sorts of stuff. But now, Kyrie's decided to help these people who aren't even really being vaccinated. The idea that someone will so casually throw away their responsibilities annoys me to no end, especially in this ridiculous example of stupidity and arrogance.

Kyrie knows how to stay relevant in the media. He has made a large portion of the last several offseasons about himself. Constantly in the media building his brand, Kyrie himself.

Sorry, but I'm not buying that and you can't flip the switch like that too. Kyrie is a Modern Leftist. By extension, he supports big government and mandates. Therefore, the issue for Kyrie is not the mandate itself... but is that he's a nutjob + a diva + a snowflake + an Afrocentrist + a Modern Leftist, all rolled into one... a very special human being... and with lots of money, so nobody in his inner circle will be honest with him either, lol. I also think there are a lot more people who are similar to Kyrie in so many ways (outside of his stance on vaccination) than we'd like to think.

There's a tendency for people these days to sort of randomly support drastic actions without a clearcut plan. They deal more in like, metaphors and latch onto any notion that is in the general direction of what they think they support. Case in point, Kyrie trying to get the NBA players to not go to the bubble all the sudden because that was somehow being complacent in racism and "something smelled fishy." it was so extreme as far as the motivations behind it and seemingly out of nowhere. But that decision is like the one he's apparently made just now, and when he decided to take those weeks off due to the capitol riots. And the thing is, there were a lot of people who supported him at every step of the way. There were plenty of folks who said "Kyrie's right" or "Kyrie's got a point." But they couldn't tell you what, specifically, he had a point about. It was just the general notion. Son in that way, they're kind of similar.

All of that said, Kyrie is the extreme version of that. He's more random than those guys, even. Like even those people understand a general commitment you make when you have a job, especially one that you love and get paid millions of dollars for. As I said in that thread from earlier this year, Kyrie sees himself as like, being oppressed at every step of the way when it comes to people that ostensibly have authority over him. Remember, he randomly asked Brad Stevens if he believed in government. I feel like those things are related. But yeah. Because he has this belief, it makes it easier for him to shirk his responsibilities and any commitment he would otherwise feel to them. And of course, he's lost track of the fact that it's his money and basketball skills that have enabled him to skip out on days of work, have a platform to affect whatever changes he wants to, etc. It's just bizarre. There's never been anything quite this extreme.

There are plenty of scientist and health care professionals that are against these vaccine. Hell Iceland just banned the Moderna shot. While Denmark, Finland and Sweden have all decided not to give these vaccine to people under a certain age. The idea that this is widely accepted in the scientific community as the consensus best way to go about getting a handle on covid is one of the biggest propaganda campaigns in human history.

So do you not trust all the scientists and doctors in the world? Iceland banned the Moderna vaccine not because it doesn't work, it is because they they are cautious about side effects. This isn't the first time side effects are investigated and the vaccine got halted. The fact is, side effects are very rare. Can you show me proof that vaccines are not widely accepted in the scientific community? I think you are the one who is cherry picking data.

And you don't trust big pharma or government agency? Do you trust the military? The postal service? Do you trust riding public transportation or going on a highway? Do you trust the police?
