Some one correct me if I am wrong, but I think they own the tie breakers against Boston and the Bucks, Boston is 2 games behind, Bucks & Philly 2.5 which means, Miami only needs 1 out of 3 wins to clinch the first seed.

Great win by the Sixers on the road. Embiid dominant. Just glad he gets the calls with all the deliberate fouling. Hang in there big fella.

They hold a conference tie-breaker over Philly. So, 1 more win will ensure they get a higher seed over Philly. But if they only win 1 more time and the Bucks win out, both teams are 2-2, and both will have the same conference record, then it comes down to record vs. playoff teams in own conference. I'm not sure what the situation is there.

I'm not entirely sure what it is with Boston, but I do know that 2 wins guarantee them no.1.

Miami has a better conference record than all three I believe.

If they go 1-2 they'll be 34-18 and if Bucks win out (4-0), they'll also be 34-18. Then it comes down to record vs. Playoff teams in their own conference. I don't know if that includes playin teams or what the situation is.

Have you got any idea of Embiid’s FT numbers in playoffs for the last two years? It’s a good thing to check before posting baiting memes.

Sure, the point is both the stars bait the refs all season long. It's jarring to the offense when it just stops being called in the playoffs.

I've been on record here saying Embiid doesn't need to do that, hopefully he plays to score and not the foul every time. We'll see.

All of that rest PG got was good for him. He looks super rejuvenated with no rust at all.

Ok, so I did a quick check and yes, 1 more win will get the Heat a tie breaker over the Bucks too because their record vs. playoff teams in the Eastern Conference is better.

But Boston holds a H2H tiebreaker over the Heat. So, if they win out and Heat win only 1 game, then they're the no.1 seed. It's better to aim for 2.

Nope, one of the points was that Embiid’s numbers don’t hold up in the playoffs, but his FTA averages for playoffs and regular season are quite similar (slightly last season for the playoffs and more for the playoffs in the season before that). I get that fans don’t like the constant trips to the line but it takes two to tango. There is a lot of reaching in and Embiid is smart enough to exploit it.

More than any other team, the Sixers' postseason success will depend on what kind of whistle they get. I think that even most Sixers fans would agree with that.

Are they just as embarrassing as his RS free throw attempts?

I don't think Embiid will be the problem. He will get his.

The problem is Harden. As a Sixers fan who is looking down the barrel of a GINORMOUS contract extension, I have to hope that Harden's hamstring is still an issue. When he has to pullout all the stops to get by LAURI MARKKANEN on the perimeter, that is a problem. Shooting less than 33% from 3 since the trade as well. To be honest, I would be OK with an early exit, because I want Morey to fire Doc. We need a better offensive mind than a guy who still thinks that DeAndre Jordan has something left in the tank.

I also think the Sixers need to upgrade the rotation - our bench, most nights, is absolute azz-cheeks.

But you never know. Look at what happened with Toronto in 2019. The went into the playoffs playing well, and injuries to the Dubs gave them a shot to win the title - which they did (good for them - don't @ me, Raptors fans). But more than whatever happens this playoff run, if this is the James Harden that the Sixers have to extend, it could be rough.

So, no fallback plan to their fall down plan...
