Surprised that everyone universally picked Jokic as the favorite for MVP when Denver's roster got deeper which will affect his numbers but also if you watched the worlds he really wasnt in shape then either. I predict he's going to get off to a slow start this year and maybe by Christmas he'll be in better shape.

Jokic looked incredibly out of shape. Pretty dissapointing because the rest of the team, especially Murray and AG, look in peak condition and were playing their asses off.

He hasn't played on a team that's serious in years. Some guys just get used to the low intensity and forget how to actually win.

Jokic wasn’t great tonight, but i came away impressed with Denver's team. Really nice constructed roster with depth improvements. Look like a high 50s to 60 win team if Jokic rounds himself into shape by Christmas.

Jokic defense has to be WOAT. The reason curry started going off because of all the easy layups he was getting by getting the switch on Jokic.

Jokić sold out

He is not a game or two away, he looks like he is a month or two away from being in game shape. Why can't they have BOTH Murray AND Jokić start the season in good shape for once? :nonono:

While they are healthy. I wouldn't surprised if they started 12-0. But I still think they finish under 48 wins. It will be fun while it's lasts, though.

They started the season 12-3 last year, then things kinda fell off the rail.

That's the thing with older team, they are going to look great in stretches, and then terrible bad in some. You just hope they all peak (and healthy) in the right time.

That was because the warriors did not have a reliable second option at the time and it started wearing on the team. Their record once they got jimmy is more indicative of the type of team they are than what happened prior to him being on the team. They also have multiple young guys who improved and are now capable of starting. They also shored up one of their biggest weaknesses with horford and they will get melton back at some point. But yea their core guys are getting up there and health will always be a concern.

I mean that's all great but which two of Curry, Dray, Butler, Horford and Melton are still going to be standing at game 82?

Jokic deserves most of the blame for this loss. He shot horribly from 3 tonight (2/13). He's clearly not in shape and was gassed by the start of the 4th Qtr. Tired legs cause missed jumpers. He needs to show up in shape instead of using the season to get in shape, much like Shaq used to. It's a disservice to your teammates. This one's on him.

That said, Nuggets still should've won this game comfortably tonight, even with Jokic shooting so poorly.

Cam Johnson and Christian Braun were a combined 5/16 tonight… And Cam Johnson was a team worst -17 tonight. That's unacceptable from 2 of your starters, especially after Braun just signed a $125M extension earlier this week. Those guys give them anything tonight and they win this game easily, despite Jokic's poor shooting performance.

We could make the Finals this year and you'd continue to double down on us losing.

Wanna make a bet on under 48 wins? Obviously I'm 48+.

First you claimed we wouldn't make under the Vegas line, now it's under 48 wins. I guess it climbs as we continue to win.

Nah every Warrior thread he is 100% negative and thinks we'll be a 30 win team. He genuinely thinks playing at a 60 win pace last year with Jimmy is a fluke. I don't think we'll win 60 but I can see 50+.
