I think Cades might have his breakout game against the Rockets. They don't have much size on that team. Cade shouldn't have a tough time getting his shot off.

Him and Franz have been exceeding expectations for sure but there nowhere near as good as Barnes & Mobley thus far.

"Nowhere near"?

6 assists a game (already top 20 in the league) is good going for the second youngest player in the entire league in his first 9 games.

Is Mobley the only other in this group that is top 20 in the league in a stat class? (Blocks per game - 17th)

Giddey is also top 30 in the league in steals per game also.

Barnes has shown to be a good defender, but I'm not sure the 4 points per game elevates him levels above Giddey who arguably has as much potential physical development as anyone in the group.

Yeah, but Giddey couldn't guard his shadow, while Barnes is guarding Harden, Durant, Tatum and so on. It's the scoring on top of the defense and rebounding. I'm saying this so you pay more attention other than scoring, not to downplay Giddey great passing.

Giddey been solid, but he's had a few sub par games so far.

Jalen Green talked a whole lot about having a chip on his shoulder being taken 2nd so it’ll be interesting to see how that game goes

I think they're both gonna ball out. But I need more from Green in general, as he's been a pretty big let down so far. He'll score 20 one night, followed by 4 games of 3-14 shooting with below average defense and little to no other stats.

Cade at least has his defense and rebounding to fall back on if his offense isn't going.

Not really having a tough time getting shots off just not making easy buckets missing a lot of open shots.

Looks like he has adjusted his college shooting motion to me. Anyone see that or is it just me?

Its was said the coaches worked on his form. I personally don't see the difference but I never paid that much attention to it.

To be fair though, just about everybody has their breakout game against the Rockets.

they said they wanted him to release a little higher but they weren't going to change it so close to the season. his form looks the same to me but his shot has been pretty flat, which i attributed to him working on getting his legs back after the injury.

Mobley ain’t even playing that well yet the effect whenever he’s on the court and into it is profound.
His economy is amazing.

He really is the Smile of the NBA. He can play within himself then when push comes to shove dominate.

I knew he could cook if he wanted to. The sky is the literal limit for this kid. Amazing prospect.

This is the first game I've watched Cunningham. He looks like a great player to build around. I like the fit with Jerami Grant.

I like Green but he's pretty raw. Crazy potential too.

Edit - what a crazy elevation Green had on that dunk he got a technical for jawing at Cunningham. He might be the bounciest guy in the league. (or Edwards).
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Barnes with
21 points (7/11 from the field)
7 rebounds
4 assists

Not even being bias (I've made this claim even before Raps drafted Barnes) I feel he has the highest potential in this draft class. These type of games don't even seem special anymore for him... just the normal and we expect it.

I mean I'd argue the the kid has hit a rookie wall, but the last 3 games he's averaging 14/8/4/2/1... for a guy who just hit 20 in August, that's scary. In my eyes he's the best player on the Raptors.

Barnes is scoring at a very efficient rate (for a rookie) and seemingly able to get it done over most defenders. When he improves his range shooting (his mid-range has already improved leaps and bounds since college ) and then has the confidence / backing of his team to simply go out and run the team and dominate possessions, he will be REALLY special and on par with any ceiling Cade or Green have IMO.

Mobley is just on a level by himself in this class however. Truly impacts winning like a young Tim Duncan.

Giddey is a nice player but he can't guard any position on the court which is a huge problem when you need to hide some 6'8-9 pg somewhere on defence. Still love his game overall. Franz Wagner and Donovan Mitchell looking like great role players.

Overall a great draft.

Barnes has definitely been the most impressive rookie, but Mobley has the highest potential by far. He has ATG potential like KGish impact were as I see Barnes as more of Bosh/Aldridge level impact.

Not breaking any news here but the two best rookies I’ve seen this season are Barnes and Mobley and the gap between them and the rest has been significant. Those two are SUPER freaks with Mobley having top five player in the league potential and Barnes having perennial allstar upside if the offense comes.

Seems like this draft might be on par with the '84, '96 and '03 drafts when it's all said and done. That is crazy.

Orlando came into the season expecting to have a top 5 rookie and they do. It's just funny it's Wagner instead of Suggs.
