1) There are people in this thread diminishing his past accomplishments. Draymond was historically good and an incredibly unique player.
2) With each offense, he is becoming further indefensible. A 15-game suspension with the awareness that this is the floor for future suspensions would be fair.

Suspensions should come with a 20% playoff penalty.

5 game suspension = 5 regular season games + 1 playoff game
25 game suspension = 25 regular season games + 5 playoff games

Since nobody cares about the regular season anyway.

I kinda like this concept. I don't know about the % portion, but I think handing out an additional PO penalty should an offenders team make the POs, is a great idea. Punish the team for an individual's conduct. Nothing will make a person stop stupid behavior faster than this--like the military--unless draymond is actually struggling with delusional/anger issues, which he very well could be.

For Draymond and his long history, I would love to see a 10 game regular season suspension and 2 game PO suspension (switching to 5 additional games next season if GSW doesn't make the POs) and an additional 5 games from the GSW as a show that they condemn this type history of on court behavior.

He is not charged with a crime, that's true. But if I go to play basketball (or do any other activity) and somebody punches me without a reason I consider it a criminal act. What about you?

Google why referring to a black man as a thug is racially charged, especially in its modern-day context when used to demonize and criminalize black men. Mods are tasked with ensuring conversation remains cordial and on topic, and using charged language will not be conducive to a productive discussion. I'm not going back and forth about this.

There's a difference of pointing out to use a different word to remove any perceived racially charged language Vs threatening to ban someone for insinuating it was racially charged.

Thug - "a violent, aggressive person, especially one who is a criminal." Green has assaulted multiple players in public. I think the core definition fits. I think you are right saying we should use better words but insinuating someone is racist just because others use the word inappropriately isnt fair IMHO

Would you ever call a white person with blond hair a thug. No you wouldn’t. The word is used to describe black men that are acting out of control. That s what it means in a societal context. You can always go back to the dictionary but words change form and meaning over time. This one is meant to stereotype black people.

I don't know what color Bill Romonowski's hair was, but that guy was one of the biggest thugs I've seen in pro sports.
