Would be insane, but I also think it needs to happen, for this stuff to die down once and for all. They need to go at each other for 7 games. Time to exorcise some demons lol.
I also think the board would crash lmao.
I want them in 7 games to settle this once and for all-
The game was tied when Embiid and jokic came back in the 4th quarter— and Embiid went off and won the game- objectively - all things were equal apart from who’s gym they were in and Embiid out played The best player on earth- you gotta respect that Embiid came out and stood up to the challenge and that Jokic played hard as well-
It was a great honor to watch that - it’s like the opposite of what Booker did when he plays Luka. Then after the game he gave respect to the competitor KNOWING that winning a finals MVP trumps a MVP… especially if you already got two of them!
Embiid said and did the right things- respect that -
Also Philly looks better without harden-
And Denver STILL Will represent the west in the finals - will Embiid do this in the playoffs when it matters and meet big Joke- reining champion - in the finals or will he fail to keep his end of the bargain
The Harden trade was definitely good for Philly. The depth they got back was something that they've lacked for a long time. But I think Nick Nurse is a bigger reason Philly looks better. Doc Rivers was just a bad, bad coach.
The depth point is slightly overstated imo. Covington and KMJ are basically not playing, and Morris, whilst he’s been surprisingly ok, is going to be almost unplayable in the play offs. Batum is the only reliable play off level rotation player they got from that trade (plus the picks of course, which gives them the flexibility to make another move).
If Embiid stays healthy, they just need some decent contributions from Harris (I trust Melton, Batum and Maxey) and this team can win the east. Boston falls in love with the 3 and it can come and go very easily
