I totally understand. I'm not going to pretend that being located in LA doesn't give the Lakers a bit of a built in advantage because it obviously does but the Lakers are also a pretty well run team.

.@WojYahooNBA confirms my tweets from earlier that the Nets are out of the mix. They're moving on without Orlando.

One trade chip away from assembling a team of Howard + DWill + Joe Johnson + Wallace or Ryan Anderson or whichever other SF or PF they wanted and they sent it to Portland for a free agent. And Billy King could get exec of the year for making one of the worst decisions in NBA history.

he sent an expiring contract and a #6 pick for Wallace who already made his intentions clear that he was going to opt out of his contract in Por and Por didn't seem to care much

Ready for this to be over! Good work by Houston, Orlando and LA for grinding out a fair deal for all parties involved.

I'd like to think the deal is almost complete and there'll be an end to this whole ordeal within the next 12 hours but yesterday it really seemed that the deal was very close to being consummated between Orlando, Brook, Cleve and Clips so I'm not going to believe anything until Woj or Adande or someone along those lines reports a deal has been reached.

Agreed. But like you said it is great management too. The buss family and mitch know what the hell they're doing  Being in LA is a plus, but then you could say how come NY haven't been able to put together a championship team in idk how long. Chicago was good the last 2 years, couldn't get over the hump. What about the Clippers, people FORGET that they are in LA lol. well until this year really. But it comes down to management first, location second.
