They should have suspended Stewart 4 games. Carried on like a pork chop.

The NBA isn't afraid of a player accidently committing a flagrant 2 foul.

The league is afraid of a player going crazy and endangering refs, staff, and fans.

These suspensions were completely predictable.

If just find it funny LeBron starts backing up to keep at least a 30 foot separation between him and Stewart even tho there's like a million people between them.

Because he's looking at how much of an idiot Stewart looks like and is probably just laughing at the dude. Bron had no interest in fighting and he shouldn't have....its LeBron freaking James. Stewart is a nobody that'll probably be out of the league in a couple of years if we're being honest.

I also find it funny how people are saying Stew would ruin Bron when Bron had him leaking so much after a swipe away. Bron aint scared of that dude. Russ wasnt even scared of him

Oh ya Russ wasn’t scared cause he saw 10 people holding him back haha man some of you really don’t know anything

Of course it’s lebrons good Stewart’s a nobody so he should take sucker punches and move on vs my favorite player

My Russ comment was sarcasm, which is why I followed with  although no, I don't really think Russ is too scared of anyone in this league. Would he win in any fight? Probably not but scared? Nah..

No one is saying Isaiah should take anything....but the fact that LeBron wasn't looking for a fight doesn't mean he was scared of anything. Too much on the line for LeBron to be getting suspended because of Isaiah Stewart.

Stewart is bringing back the bad boy pistons to the nba lol.

Was listening to Sam Mitchell and Eddie Johnson on Sirius on my drive into practice this afternoon and their points were

1) Stewart started it with the unnecessary pushing towards LeBron's ribs area, especially after LeBron is just coming back from the abdominal injury. Their point was it wasn't really a basketball play, considering if he was actually going for the basketball he would've been more engaged with Jordan who was the low man, than LeBron who was the high man. 1) No one teaches boxing out by pushing/grabbing with your hands 2) so we are to believe he was only "boxing out" LeBron instead of Jordan who had inside position on him? Just completely unnecessary.

2) LeBron did intentionally hit him but they believe it was to free himself up and protect himself coming off that injury. If Stewart was making a basketball play, he head wouldn't have been that low and the slap catches him in the chest and not the face.

3) Stewart should be punished the most to protect the staff.

This is from two guys that played in the league. Can't say I disagree with them, especially since Stewart's career highlights so far are basically just his run in with guys (Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Giannis).

Stewart delivers 12 pts, 19 rebs, 1 ast, 2 stls and 1 blk as Detroit defeats the Lakers in OT!

Lebron drops 24 pts, 4 rebs, 5 asts and 1 stl in the loss

I like that insight and perspective. I still think Stewart needs some mandatory therapy to work on his anger issues. Like dude its just a game. Also wasn't Westbrick basically laughing at him? For those that think the Lakers where scared of him lol

With all that said you know players will be gunning for Stewart, when is the Warriors game. The things Dray will do to make him lose his cool

LMAO at all these butt hurt babies. Imagine if it was Lebron that pretended to go into the locker room and then suddenly ran back into the court and threw all his coaches to the ground and spent 5 minutes in a fit of rage. All you hypocrites would be calling him to be suspended 5 games.

Imagine if Jokic, instead of hitting Morris, missed, and then as he was being sent back to the locker room , he turned around, threw mike malone on the floor and spent the next 3-4 minutes in a fit of rage trying to get at Morris.

You guys are blinded by your Lebron hate how crazy Stewart was acting.

Pistons went on to get outscored by 20 by the “shook” lakers

Stewart definitely deserved his 2 games. If anything, could have been more because he endangered a lot of people.

Still think opening up someone’s face with a hand strike (intentional/unintentional, open fist/closed fist, retaliation or not — none of that matters to me) should be more than 1 game. I definitely believe if it were a fellow league nobody like Stew, it would have been more.

Where context doesn't exist

No

When you are bleeding all over yourself because someone hit you in the face is where context doesn’t exist.

It was an intentional hit but not an intentional punch to the mouth. No reasonable person is going to disagree with that. The reaction, specifically the 2nd and 3rd attempts to barrel over anyone and everyone to get to LeBron (or another Laker), was worthy of two games.

LeBron instigated the entire event. Everything thing that happens as a result of his action is his fault. You give them both 2 games or 1 game. How the NBA didn’t realize how stupid this would look is unbelievable.

This. Both should’ve got 2 games, LeBron for starting it with his hammer fist to the face and Stewart for going insane with rage.

LOL @ everyone trying to downplay what Steward did, he's lucky he didn't get more games. That was embarrassing, multiple times charging and plowing through staff/coaches, luckily no one got injured.

No one is downplaying what Stewart did.

Should've not happened though if someone just controlled himself like the veteran that he is.

How are you gonna be the face of the league and cheap shot players like that? You should handle yourself better. Let's not downplay what Lebron did to instigate that reaction. He lost control of himself, that's why he apologized. Would've been suspended more if he wasn't a superstar.

Both should've been suspended 2 games at least
