Against these "Warriors". Why are you talking about them as if they're the Hampton 5 or their previous iteration in 2014-2016 with the death lineup with prime Iggy. Stop it. Their defense is miles away from the death line up and the Hampton 5 was the only juggernaut. This Golden State team is very good, but not great, let alone all time

Jokic might be literally willing to throw Will Barton into a pit of lava to have a teammate like Kobe or Penny playing with him, who Shaq had for all of those series. These Warriors might very well win it all, but even if they don't, Shaq's supporting cast was significantly better so the point still stands

Do you think Shaq would’ve beat the 2021-2022 warriors with the same supporting cast as Jokic? Like do you really believe that?

A former teammate said Embiid is the MVP? I am shocked.

It doesn't matter who said what. What is YOUR argument for Embiid being the MVP?

Kyle Lowry is a former/current teammate of Joel Embiid?

Edit: LMAO, quoted you before you could correct that nonsense.

Draymond Green, a more accomplished player & generational defender, said there's a reason Jokic is the MVP.

Put some respect on the 2x MVP's name :)

From the moment you attack the person and not the argument you're already lost.

His whole argument was that Jokic shouldn't win REGULAR SEASON MVP because his team doesn't have a chance to win the Championship. Do I really need to attack that argument?

Also forgive me for not taking seriously a guy who supports anti-Semitic views while also championing equality.

You could, and it would make sense if you would. Making it about him only dilutes the argument. And now ur doing it again. What do personal beliefs, how bad they might be, have to do with basketball takes?

At least Derozan and Lowry managed to get past the second round, unlike Embiid.

Wait so now you're using that same second-round logic you blasted Sixers fans for? So consistent

Sixers fans said that Jokic can't be the MVP because he lost in the first round, while ignoring that he's made the conference finals before with a healthy Murray, something Embiid has never managed to do. Even the Derozan and Lowry Raptors managed it.

Pretending that Embiid is some sort of winner because he sometimes makes the second round of the playoffs is comical.

damn bro I really thought you would come to accept the mvp results and leave it at that

I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see you all over this thread throwing the same tantrums you did all season

Lol, this was a travesty, and the fix was in from the media. I'd have relented if players also agreed that Jokic was the MVP. They didn't, because they see the truth.

This was one of the most agenda driven MVPs in recent memory. History will look back at what a mistake this was.

History will say that Jokic is an all-time great. Like Giannis, Curry, and few others.

Embiid will never be in the same sentence as these guys.

People will laugh at all the threads where Jokic was compared with Jahlil Okafor, Embiid, Towns, Porzingis etc.

Funny coming from a group whose only argument is that media don't know **** and players do (by the virtue of being who they are). No wonder some of you think the way you do when you take Stephen Jackson and Antoine Walker seriously.

I'm not attacking his view on basketball by bringing up his non basketball views, I'm attacking the argument that Stephen Jackson is "well respected" and I brought up a couple reasons why I don't think that's the case.

I'm attacking his view on basketball by pointing out how moronic it is to associate a regular season award with playoffs. That shouldn't need to be stated. It's a regular season award, end of story.

Embiid is an alltime great, sorry to burst your bubble. Those other players aren't even in the same league.

Why don't we talk about history when your 2 time advanced stats MVP wins a chip. Embiid still competing against a team that would have wiped the floor against the Nuggets.

You look at the impact. The name of the award is "The Most Valuable Player". Who has been the most valuable for the team?
I think "valuable", I would vote for Jokic. He was the most impactful for his team. Those guys all had amazing years. Giannis, Joel, a lot of other guys.

So you'll admit that when the going gets tough Jokic can't hang with the big boys in the playoffs. Got it, thanks.

Ah yes, let's ignore the $60 million worth of player injuries.

I assure you they did not build the team for him to succeed by putting Campazzo, Rivers, Barton on the roster.

They built it for him to succeed with MPJ and Murray, both of whom had season ending injuries, and hence the team he played with all year was not one that was built for him to succeed with.

And he still won MVP :)
