With the roster as it is, he's definitely going to see minutes at the three. Like I suggested in my depth chart, I'D expect Gilbert and Meer to split the minutes at the point, Richardson and Gilbert to split the two (with some minutes for JJ Redick) and Hedo and Richardson to split the minutes at the three (with some minutes for Q).

Hate it for Orlando.

What they needed was to get tougher. Switch Vince for a Rip/Prince or Stephen Jackson orientated package, then make a move for more size inside. Put another legit rebounder beside Dwight like Varejao and announce to teams they're getting their ass kicked on the boards and will get put on their ass if they go in the paint.

Doesn't matter if it took until next season to do it, that's the move Orlando needed to make. Become **** like the Celtics, not wussies.

Is their crunchtime 5 going to be Nelson, Arenas, Hedo, Bass, and Howard? What a joke. In the words of Hedo: No balls.

I think this Arenas off the bench thing could work but he would have to play crunch time with Jameer and have Richardson and the 3. This is going to be tough for SVG

I agree. Part of the reason Shard dropped off so much over the last couple of years is because he was arguably to good of a team-mate, too willing to sacrifice on behalf of the team. He became less and less involved on offense as we tried to get Vince involved and run things through Dwight more, and he never complained about it or demanded more touches, always stayed withing SVGs system. He's going to go to Washington and do what he can to fit in and help them develop John Wall.

I still have to doubt the wisdom of taking on Rashard's deal, and I imagine the Wizards will come in for a great deal of criticism if Arenas rediscovers his 20+ppg self in Orlando while Shard quietly goes about his business playing second fiddle to Wall, but at this moment in time, they did the right thing for their franchise.
