I am not even a spurs fan and my heart was soo heart by that game 6 and 7 loss, he will never get over that. EVER.

I know, I feel for him and I rooted for the Spurs aswell, but this would be a really good consolation prize, cause he only misses silverware with his national team ( well, I should say goldware

France looks a lot better than when they played LTU. Will be a very even match. Surprised France won with a struggling Batum. Parker was amazing and I expect him to be elite on Sunday. Will be tough day for Valanciunas and the Lithuanians.

Yeah, now I'm finally convinced too.
They were really committed to avoiding Lithuania in this tournament at all costs.

Why would a team not wanna get a silver over a chance to get a bronze.

Because Spain intentionally lost against italy

Don't worry, won't mention it again unless someone asks.

because they lost on purpose before so they would not need to face them in the semi finals. Nothing new they did the same in the Olympics (or the WT) to avoid USA

That's a joke. We are saying that because they lost on purpose to Italy.

Beating Spain feels good ! (sorry to all their fans, but we've been your whipping boy long enough).
Obviously I hope we win the finals but simply beating Spain felt amazing enough that I'll be satisfied with silver medals.
Good luck Lithuania !

I just can't describe... I almost cried at the end
Tony Parker IS JUST THE **** MAN. Dude is here since 13 **** years. He played with some **** ass wack players.
He played in Ukrainia for qualification for eurobasket 2009 with some no name like Stephane Brun that sucks so much he's playing 2nd division level.
Give that man that **** title !!!

Tony Parker is a beast
I am very happy for him
I am very happy for him
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

I can't decide who to root for, Parker deserves a gold for his dedication, but Lithuanians breathe basketball and they brought all the hot women with them.

Re: Official Eurobasket 2013 Thread
Well, congrats to Parker and "Les Mauvais Garçons". They played their physical game as their best card, and Spanish team crumbled. That's lack of leadership, and terrible coaching. Orenga and his top assistants, Díaz and Ponsarnau, should think about what they did in the 4th quarter. When Diaw was playing at the 5 and Pietrus at the 4, they should've given some rest to Marc Gasol and give some deserved minutes to Pablo Aguilar. And then, when they were up 5 with 5 minutes left, Orenga puts Ricky (who was already out of the game thanks to Pietrus elbow under the basket) back on the court, killing his team's momentum.
Aside from that, France deserved to win, and fought for the game. Officiating has been terrible all tournament, so it's not worth to spend more words on that. And from their point of view, it's a big win and it was about damn time... so I'm kind of happy for them, in a weird way.
Bronze medal game will be awesome, and the France-Lithuania can be great if the French stay humble. In the 2006 World Championships, the Greek team was incredibly good in SF and knocked off the USA, and then they were demolished in the championship game. I'm not comparing the US team to Spain, but Parker and his crew shouldn't celebrate very hard, because Lithuania has a great interior rotation and they could be even harder to beat on Sunday.

Orenga beated Spain, not France.
was sarcasm. Obviously they didn't, they chocked vs Italy like they did today and against Greece and slovenia.

Parker is on top of the world right now, or at least 5 French models. I don't even feel bad for him what happened with Miami because he already has 3 rings.
The biggest mistake he ever made was losing Longaria
