LeafsRule67 wrote:IMO LeBron only went back because he knew the Heat were finished. Wade was getting old, and the team couldn't didn't have the salary space to bring in new talent. So LeBron went to the next up-and-coming team in the East with its lottery picks (Irving, Wiggins). Plus they have the assets to trade for a superstar like Love. It was obvious LeBron was going to stay in the East where any team he joined would have a easy walk to the finals. Not sure I understand why LeBron is being called "selfless" for doing this.

Did you even read LeBron's piece in that SI link?

And the only reason that didn't happen is because Cleveland won the coin toss pre-lottery

wow, no way, im shocked, even during these preceding days i did not really expect him to go back, especially not after how he left and the reaction from the cleveland fans when he did so, and the comments made by gilbert who still owns the team, im happy for the city of cleveland, they need this, i wonder how kyrie and lebron will mesh, or will they trade kyrie for love? i wonder what number he will wear? forgive me for blabbering, this is just so surreal to me

At first when I heard all the Lebron back to Cavs talk I thought no way, but as time went on and I thought about it, I really started to like the idea. If he brings even 1 title to Cleveland he will be legendary. It's quite the story and would definitely be a legacy booster. I wonder how crazy the fan reaction will be his first game back at home...It's gonna be crazy.

jc23 wrote:So the last home game lebron played as a miami heat he was booed and the fans left early. Sounds about right.

Worst bandwagon fan base in NBA history. Im sure heat fans before 2010 would say the same.

Agreed 100% and it serves them right. It's a joke of a fanbase. I'm surprised there were even any "fans" left to deface the LeBron mural/burn jerseys. That stadium will be packed to 25% capacity every game from here on out.

Thankfully for Lebron everyone that had his jersey already burned it so jersey sales are gonna be through the roof.

This is great, very happy for the cavs and lebron. I can now watch the heat rot in the basement of the east standings and enjoy the NBA again. Riley is a snake, glad lebron left those dirtbags in Miami.

Lol at everyone saying Miami booed LeBron in his last home game in Miami.

Really? I think LeBron is that last PERSON IN THAT BUILDING that should be booed. How do you know it was directed at him? What if it was towards the Spurs (celebrating early?)

Pretty sure we all know LeBron is the last person the boo's were for...

When does the Heat pick become unprotected?

Now get the Love for Wiggins deal done already. Wolves need Wiggins badly.

BooRadley wrote:Amazing PR by LeBron and his team. Everything that came out wasn't leaked at all. It was just stupid speculation by desperate reporters. I love how he shunned ESPN and took it to SI. Right now on ESPN, they're giving credit to SI. I always liked SI. Hopefully this helps them with more traffic to their site.

I would've loved to see Gilbert apologize to LeBron. He needs to pen another open letter praising LeBron.

Other quick notes, I wonder if Haslem is still going to get paid? Same with Wade?

And Riley straight looked desperate drafting Napier and signing Danger Granger. LeBron must have just looked at him with a confused face when Riley presented LeBron with Granger and McBob.
