DRUMMOND > KAT

Like Shaq said. We're talking about BIG MEN. Post ups, muscle, drop step, dunk, 12+rpg

Hypothetically, for the team id like to build I'd have a big like Drummond in the paint because nobody is really strong enough to guard him one on one...closest thing to shaq In 2016

Drummond averaged like 14 boards last year and led the league but I guess we're gonna gloss over that

KAT hype train is just full of followers .

Towns had a higher shooting percentage at the rim than any year Drummond has been in the league. He actually has a higher shooting percentage from every distance on the court.

It is kind of irrelevant. I could see him having an inefficient first year. Especially compared to most centers. He takes shots most can't take. He doesn't have much talent around him for easy buckets until Simmons is on the floor. Long term if he stays healthy I wouldn't worry about his efficiency. This year I'm not expecting more than 45% from the field. He probably be borderline 100. Although Demarcus Cousins was 94 his first year and offensively they could be similar.

Take a look at PER and WS/48 bruh.

Towns had a higher PER I believe. Most of their basic stats look pretty similar as has been pointed out.

Nope sophomore Davis is at 26.5 and Rookie Towns is at 22.5, people forget how astronomical Davis' improvement arc was in 3 years. KAT has long way to go to prove he can do it at Davis' level in my opinion. The debate between who is better 2nd year Davis and 2nd year Towns is going to be a lot closer than KAT vs Davis right now. Don't even get me started on year 3 Davis

Anybody have eyes on the Sixers Hawks game? I see the stats but how is JoJo actually looking on the court?

he's looked incredible, the sixers are just depressing though without him. Covington is not a good starter and henderson is even worst. curious when the minute restriction will be lifted because he is wrecking teams. The best thing about him is the defense he completely changes the other teams scheme you cant finish in the paint with him there and you can't really run those side pick n rolls to exploit slow 5s. pick n pop with him and rodriguez at the top of the key is unguardable.

Any one on ones with Dwight? How is the efficiency? Turnovers? I know it's only seven minutes but is he patient on the touches?

Not really, he had a nice faceup jumper that was in n out, his only miss. Brett brown for some reason trotted out okafor and embiid for most of his limited tick, forcing embiid to guard milsap and play spacer on the other end. He had a really nice move where he floated up the 3pt line caught a pass, pump faked the crap out of milsap and euro'ed in the lane for a foul. he can probably get whatever he wants vs dwight due to being atleast 3-4 inches bigger.

So far the disadvantage i see seems logical due to his inexperience: Too aggressive. That got him the foul trouble. But he didn't seem to be afraid of howard at any point. He got a block on dwight.

They just need wings. Covington ain't bad at all for 6th player.
Henderson is bad, thompson nothing special.
They can trade okafor or noel for a good wing. That will improve them greatly.
Stauskas, grant can become good rotation players, and bayless can do his thing for 10-15 mins.
Their frontcourt seems awesome, they just need patience.

They should be good sooner then later. I would trade Noel for a guard so you don't get stuck paying him big money to play backup. Keep a good rotation of Embiid and Okafor down low at the 5. Cash in on one more draft this off-season and then sign a couple vets in that late 20s range.

Minute restriction, he injured himself guarding Embiid at practice which actually ties to this thread, lol. Only played 9 minutes in preseason and on 14-15 min restriction right now.

League and fans on realgm wanted sixers to at least try and be competitive and sign some vets and they go out and sign Henderson and Bayless.

If this is some discreet tank, then it looks like a success. Henderson is bench fodder. I'm not expecting Bayless to do anything either once he comes back.

Bayless had a 67.5 efg% on catch and shoot shots last season, he's actually a trustworthy shooter, which we're seriously lacking right now. He should help our bigs and space the floor for Simmons.

Henderson has always sucked.
